Black Forest
The Black Forest (german: Schwarzwald ) is a large forested mountain range in the state of Baden-Württemberg in southwest Germany, bounded by the Rhine Valley to the west and south and close to the borders with France and Switzerland. It is the source of the Danube and Neckar rivers. Its highest peak is the Feldberg with an elevation of above sea level. Eleonore Juliane of Brandenburg-Ansbach (23 October 1663 – 4 March 1724) was a princess of Brandenburg-Ansbach and through her marriage duchess of Württemberg-Winnental. Life Eleonore Juliane was a daughter of Albert II, Margrave of Brandenburg-Ansbach (1620–1667) and his second wife Countess Sophie Margarete (1634–1664), daughter of Joachim Ernst, Count of Oettingen-Oettingen. On 31 October 1682, in Ansbach, she married Frederick Charles, Duke of Württemberg-Winnental, with a commemorative coin struck for the wedding At the wedding Eleonore's brother John Frederick met the composer Johann Sigismund Kusser, who later worked at Ansbach. The House of Oettingen was a high-rank noble Franconian and Swabian family. It ruled various estates that composed the County of Oettingen between the 12th century and the beginning of the 19th century. In 1674 the house was raised to the rank of prince for the first time.
