Bolesław Bronisław Duch
Bolesław Bronisław Duch (1885–1980) was a Polish Major General and General Inspector of the Armed Forces. Life Duch served during World War I, 1914–18, in the Polish Legions. After Poland regained independence, he served in the Polish Army. In 1935-1938 he commanded the 73rd Infantry Regiment. At the outbreak of World War II, the commander of the 39th Reserve Infantry Division General Bruno Olbrycht was ill and the division was ''de facto'' commanded by Duch. After Poland was overrun by Germany and the Soviet Union in September 1939, Duch managed to evade capture and served in western Europe, becoming commander successively of the Polish 1st Grenadier Division in France (1940), 1st Rifle Brigade of the 1st Polish Corps in Scotland (1942–43), and of the 3rd Carpathian Infantry Division of the 2nd Polish Corps (1943–46). Jordi Salvador i Duch (born 23 July 1964) is a Catalan teacher, trade unionist and politician from Spain. He also is a member of the Congress of Deputies of Spain. Early life Salvador was born on 23 July 1964 in Barcelona, Catalonia. His maternal grandparents were originally from Conca de Barberà but moved to Barcelona in the early part of the 20th century for economic reasons. In 1971, aged six, Salvador and his parents moved to the Torreforta suburb of Tarragona. Salvador has a bachelor's degree in geography and history and a doctorate in social and cultural anthropology from the Rovira i Virgili University (URV). Duch (Ghost) is a 2022 Czech action crime comedy television series by Prima televize. It is inspired by Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased). In August 2023 the series was renewed for season 2. Pierre Étienne Simon Duchartre (27 October 1811, Portiragnes – 5 November 1894, Meudon) was a French botanist. He studied biology in Toulouse, where after graduation he worked as a teacher. From 1837 he taught classes in Fumel, several years later moving to Paris, where in 1848 he was accepted by the faculty of sciences. During the following year, he was appointed a professor of botany and plant physiology at the Institut agronomique in Versailles. In 1861 he attained the chair of botany at the Sorbonne. In 1854 he was co-founder of the Société Botanique de France, an institution in which he served as president on several separate occasions.
