Duccio Malagamba
Duccio Malagamba (born 1960) is an Italian Architectural photographers, architectural photographer. Life and work Malagamba was born in La Spezia, Italy. In more than 25 years of professional experience he participated in several exhibitions, lectures, and juries, and four times has been awarded with “Lux” National Photography Prizes, granted by the Spanish Association of Professional Photographers. He collaborates with architects such as Álvaro Siza Vieira, Alvaro Siza, Herzog & de Meuron, Rafael Moneo, Enric Miralles, EMBT, and Coop Himmelb(l)au, and his photographs are regularly featured in specialized magazines and publishing houses worldwide. After graduating in Architecture ''cum laude'' from the University of Genoa, Genoa University, he moved to Barcelona to begin his career as an architect. Architectural Photographers
Early architectural photographers include Roger Fenton, Francis Frith (Middle East and Britain), Samuel Bourne, Inclined Studio (India) and Albert Levy (United States and Europe). They paved the way for the modern speciality of architectural photography. Later architectural photography had practitioners such as Ezra Stoller and Julius Shulman. Stoller worked mainly on the east coast of America, having graduated with a degree in architecture in the 1930s. Shulman, who was based on the West Coast, became an architectural photographer after some images that he had taken of one of Richard Neutra's houses in California made their way onto the architect's desk. La Spezia (, or , ; in the local Spezzino dialect) is the capital city of the province of La Spezia and is located at the head of the Gulf of La Spezia in the southern part of the Liguria region of Italy. Álvaro Siza Vieira
Álvaro Joaquim de Melo Siza Vieira (born 25 June 1933) is a Portuguese architect, and architectural educator. He is internationally known as Álvaro Siza () and in Portugal as Siza Vieira (). Early life and education Siza was born in Matosinhos, a small coastal town near Porto. He graduated in architecture in 1955, at the former School of Fine Arts of the University of Porto, the current FAUP – ''Faculdade de Arquitectura da Universidade do Porto''. There he met his wife, Maria Antónia Siza (1940–1973), with whom he had a daughter and son. Career Siza completed his first built work (four houses in Matosinhos) even before ending his studies in 1954, the same year that he first opened his private practice in Porto. José Rafael Moneo Vallés (born 9 May 1937) is a Spanish architect. He won the Pritzker Prize for architecture in 1996, the Royal Institute of British Architects, RIBA Royal Gold Medal in 2003 and Venice Biennale, La Biennale's Golden Lion in 2021. Biography Born in Tudela, Navarre, Tudela, Spain, Moneo studied at the ETSAM, Technical University of Madrid (UPM) from which he received his architectural degree in 1961. From the Davis Museum and Cultural Center, Davis Art Museum at Wellesley College in Massachusetts and the Audrey Jones Beck, Audrey Jones Beck Building (an expansion of the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston). Enric Miralles
Enric Miralles Moya (12 February 1955 – 3 July 2000) was a Spanish architect from Barcelona. He graduated from the Barcelona School of Architecture (ETSAB) at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) in 1978. After establishing his reputation with a number of collaborations with his first wife Carme Pinós, the couple separated in 1991. Miralles later married fellow architect Benedetta Tagliabue, and the two practiced together as EMBT Architects. Miralles' magnum opus and his largest project, the new Scottish Parliament Building, was unfinished at the time of his death.
