Jacques-Charles Renaud Dubuisson
Jacques-Charles Renaud Dubuisson (1666–1739) was born in France and came to Canada in 1685. Renaud was a career soldier and, aside from a dueling incident, was consistently praised for his military and administrative work. His most important military work was among the Miami Indians where he was responsible for assisting with the work of Jean-Baptiste Bissot de Vinsenne in keeping the Miami from joining forces with the English. After Bissot's death in 1719, he established a number of garrison posts, one of which was commanded by François-Marie Bissot de Vinsenne. Dubuisson was he post commander at Detroit in 1712. He commanded a post at the Miamis near Toledo from 1723 to 1727. Jean Dubuisson (18 September 1914 – 22 October 2011) was a French architect who is regarded as one of the leading practitioners of the French post-World War II years. Biography Jean René Julien Dubuisson was born in Lille, France. He was the son of the architect Émile Dubuisson (1873–1947). He began his architecture studies in the École des Beaux Arts in Lille, before continuing at the École des Beaux Arts in Paris. He received his diploma in 1939, in the studio of Emmanuel Pontremoli. He was Second Grand Prix de Rome in 1943 and First Grand Prix de Rome in 1945, following which he lived in Rome, in the Villa Medici, and in Athens from 1946 to 1949. Upon returning to France, he joined in the rebuilding of France after the massive destruction during World War II. His submission in the Strasbourg competition of 1951, won by Eugène Beaudouin, secured him a place as one of the limited number of architects commissioned by the national government to build housing projects. ... Pierre-Ulric Dubuisson (; 23 January 1746 in Laval, Mayenne – 24 March 1794) was an 18th-century French actor, playwright and theatre director. Sympathetic to the Hébertists he was denounced by Robespierre as having intended to sow discord among the Jacobins and was tried by the Revolutionary Court. He was sentenced to death and guillotined with other Hébertists on 24 March 1794 at the age of 48 years. Stephen Larigaudelle Dubuisson
Stephen Larigaudelle Dubuisson (born Étienne de La Rigaudelle du Buisson; 21 October 1786 – 14 August 1864) was a French Catholic priest and Jesuit missionary to the United States. Born to a wealthy family in Saint-Domingue, Dubuisson fled the Haitian Revolution for France, where he entered the French Civil Service, civil service and rose to senior positions in Napoleon's imperial court. In 1815, he decided to enter the Society of Jesus and sailed for the United States. He engaged in pastoral work in Maryland and Washington, D.C., before becoming the List of presidents of Georgetown University, president of Georgetown University, Georgetown College in 1825. An austere personality, his leadership of the school was not successful. He suffered a nervous breakdown and was sent to recover in Rome in 1826, where he met Jan Roothaan, the Superior General of the Society of Jesus, Jesuit Superior General. Victor Dubuisson (born 22 April 1990) is a French professional golfer who plays on the European Tour. Amateur career Dubuisson was born in Cannes. He enjoyed a successful amateur career, during which he won several major amateur tournaments, including the 2009 European Amateur, and was the World Amateur Golf Ranking, number one ranked amateur player in the world for eight weeks from 4 November to 23 December 2009. As an amateur he also entered and made the cut in several professional tournaments, the highlight being a third-place finish at the 2009 Allianz EurOpen de Lyon on the Challenge Tour. He qualified for his first European Tour event at 15 years old, at the 2005 Open de France, missing the cut.
