Dubravko Merlić
Dubravko Merlić (born 28 April 1960) is a Croatian journalist, television producer and author, known for his work as an actor, editor and anchor on the Croatian Radiotelevision and Nova TV. He is a winner of the 2007 Rose d'Or award for ''The Pyramid'', a competitive talk show created by Castor Multimedia, a TV production company of which Merlić is currently the CEO. Biography Early life Born in Zagreb, Merlić graduated from the Zagreb Faculty of Philosophy in 1983, with a degree in literature, and taught Croatian language and literature in an elementary school in his hometown from 1984 to 1986. In 1987 he started his journalistic career with Radio Sljeme. Television career In 1990, Merlić left radio and moved to the Croatian Radiotelevision (HRT), then ''Televizija Zagreb''. Rose D'Or
The Rose d'Or ('Golden Rose') is an international awards festival in entertainment broadcasting and programming. The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) first acquired the Rose d’Or in 1961, when it was created by Swiss Television in the lakeside city of Montreux. The awards stayed with the EBU for almost 40 years. The EBU re-acquired the awards in 2013 and successfully re-launched the event that year in Brussels, then relocated to Berlin from 2014 to 2018. In 2014 the event took place on 17 September in Berlin, Germany. For the first time in its 53-year history, the competition categories were extended to include radio and online video programmes in addition to the traditional focus on television. ''Supertalent'' is a Croatian talent show. It is a Croatian license version of the British popular talent show ''Got Talent'' whose authors are Simon Cowell and Ken Warwick. ''Supertalent'' has five big auditions in the Croatian cities of Split, Rijeka, Zadar, Zagreb, and Osijek. After the auditions there is a semi final and a final show where the public choose one winner. The main prize is 30,000 euros.
