Eugene Dubnov
Eugene Dubnov (born Zalman Dubvov, rus, Евгений (Юджин) Дубно́в he, יוג'ין דובנוב; 2 November 1949 – 5 August 2019) was a Jewish-born Russian and English poet, novelist and memoirist. Life and career Eugene Dubnov was born on 2 November 1949, in Tallinn, Estonia (then a part of the former USSR). His mother tongue was Russian, and he spoke English fluently since his childhood spent in Riga, Latvia (then a part of the former USSR). He studied at the Moscow State University, at the Bar-Ilan University, Israel, and at the London University where from he was graduated (psychology and English Literature). He then worked on his PhD thesis in the London University (Russian Literature and English Literature) but did not bring it to a close. Shlomo Dubnov
Shlomo Dubnov is an American-Israeli computer music researcher and composer. He is a Professor in the Music Department and Affiliate Professor in Computer Science and Engineering and a founding faculty of the Halıcıoğlu Data Science Institute in the University of California, San Diego, where he has been since 2003. He is the Director of the Center for Research in Entertainment and Learning (CREL) at UC San Diego's Qualcomm Institute. Biography Born in Ukraine in 1962, Shlomo Dubnov is a researcher and composer. Life and career In 1860, Simon Dubnow was born Shimon Meyerovich Dubnow (Шимон Меерович Дубнов) to a large poor family in the Belarusian town of Mstsislaw (Mahilyow Voblast). A native Yiddish speaker, he received a traditional Jewish education in a ''heder'' and a ''yeshiva'', where Hebrew was regularly spoken. Later Dubnow entered into a ''kazyonnoye yevreyskoe uchilishche'' (state Jewish school) where he learned Russian.
