Dubem Amene (born 10 November 2002) is a Nigerian male sprinter athlete who competed for Nigeria at local and international competitions. Achievements Amene participated in the mixed 4 × 400 metres relay event at the 2020 Summer Olympics representing Nigeria. He also qualified for the semi-finals of the race. Amene alongside Samson Nathaniel and Imaobong Nse Uko finished sixth position in the men's mixed relay race at the 2022 World Athletics Championships in Oregon, United States. The Birmingham Organising Committee for the 2022 Commonwealth Games (BOCCG) is the organisation responsible for overseeing the planning and development of the 2022 Commonwealth Games. The mixed 4 × 400 metres relay event at the 2020 Summer Olympics took place on 30 and 31 July 2021 at the Japan National Stadium. There were 16 competing relay teams, with each team having 4 members (2 men and 2 women). It was the first mixed-gender relay in athletics held at the Olympic Games, as part of a larger focus on gender equality by the International Olympic Committee. Summary After finishing first and second in their heat, USA and Dominican Republic teams were initially disqualified for an alleged baton changeover violation. Both teams appealed and the decision was reversed. Imaobong Nse Uko (born 20 February 2004) is a Nigerian athlete. She competed in the mixed 4 × 400 metres relay event at the 2020 Summer Olympics. The 17-year-old won the 400 metres at the 2021 World Under 20 Championships. Career Uko finished her secondary education at the Apostolic Church Secondary School, Ikot Oku Nsit. She was the Youth 400m champion at the Akwa Ibom Youth Sports Festival in 2018. She finished in second place at the meet the previous year. The 2022 World Athletics Championships was the eighteenth edition of the World Athletics Championships. It was held at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon, United States, from July 15–24, 2022, with the country hosting that competition for the first time. The competition was originally scheduled for August 6–15, 2021, but it was postponed by one year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
