Duangphet Phromthep
Duangphet Phromthep ( th, ดวงเพชร พรหมเทพ; 3 July 200514 February 2023) was the Thai captain of the ''Wild Boars'' football team that was rescued from Tham Luang Nang Non cave in 2018. He won a football scholarship to England in 2022. He died by suicide in 2023. Life Duangphet was born on 3 July 2005 to mother Chanta Jai-Ngiem, and known as Dom. He grew up in Chiang Rai. He was the captain of the ''Wild Boars'' football team that became trapped in the Tham Luang Nang Non cave on 23 June 2018, prompting the seventeen-day Tham Luang cave rescue. In 2022, Duangphet won a Zico Foundation scholarship to Brooke House College Football Academy in Leicestershire, England. Death On 12 February 2023, Duangphet was found unconscious in his room at Brooke House College Football Academy. He was taken to Kettering General Hospital, where he died on 14 February. Chiang Rai ( th, เชียงราย, ; nod, , เจียงฮาย, ) is the northernmost major city in Thailand, with a population of about 200,000 people. It is located in Mueang Chiang Rai District, Chiang Rai Province. Chiang Rai was established as a capital city in the reign of King Mangrai, in 1262 CE. Kiatisuk Senamuang
Kiatisuk Senamuang ( th, เกียรติศักดิ์ เสนาเมือง; born 11 August 1973) is a Thai football manager and former footballer (played between 1989 and October 2007) who is manager of V.League 1 club Hoàng Anh Gia Lai. He is nicknamed "Thai Zico" by fans. During his eighteen-year career Kiatisuk played as a striker and scored 251 goals in 339 appearances. The former striker played for clubs in Malaysia, Singapore, England and Vietnam as well as in his homeland. Kiatisuk also earned 131 caps and scored 70 goals for Thailand between 1992 and 2007. In 1996, while playing for Raj Pracha FC Kiatisuk scored 127 goals in 71 games, achieving an (unrecognised) record as top scorer.
