César-Egasse Du Boulay
César-Egasse du Boulay (died 1678), known as Bulaeus, was a French historian. Life He was born at the beginning of the seventeenth century at Saint-Ellier, Mayenne. After teaching humanities in the College of Navarre he occupied important positions in the University of Paris, including those of rector and historian of the university. He died on 16 October 1678. Works His main work is the ''Historia Universitatis Parisiensis'' covering the period from the supposed foundation of the university by Charlemagne (800) to 1600. The first three volumes published in 1665 were censured by the university. To justify himself the author wrote the ''Notæ ad censuram ...'' (Paris, 1667). The censors appointed by the king found nothing blameworthy in the work, and the last three volumes were published in 1673. Arthur Du Boulay
Major Arthur Houssemayne du Boulay (18 June 1880 – 25 October 1918) was a British military officer and amateur cricketer. Born in Kent, he served in the Royal Engineers from 1897 and saw active service in the Second Boer War and First World War. He played first-class cricket for Kent County Cricket Club and Gloucestershire County Cricket Club and died in the 1918 flu pandemic whilst on active service in October 1918. Early life Du Boulay was the oldest child of Colonel Woodforde Houssemayne du Boulay and his wife Rose ('' née'' Hawkins). His father served in the Royal Engineers and du Boulay was born in 1880 at New Brompton in Chatham, Kent, close to the regimental headquarters. Clair Du Boulay
Clair Evelyn Houssemayne du Boulay is a retired British professor and expert in pathology and medical education. She was the Vice-President of the Royal College of Pathologists from 2002 to 2005. Career Professor du Boulay practised as a consultant pathologist specialising in gastrointestinal pathology and soft tissue sarcomas at the University of Southampton. Following her clinical work she became involved in medical education and was appointed Postgraduate Dean at the Wessex Deanery, where she managed the training and education of healthcare professionals in more than fifty NHS Trusts across the south of England. She was Vice-President of the Royal College of Pathologists from 2002 to 2005. Awards and honours She was a fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists. She was awarded an Officer of the Order of the British Empire in the 2008 New Year Honours for services to medicine.

François Jacques Houssemayne Du Boulay
François Jacques Houssemayne du Boulay (London, 24 June 1759 – 28 October 1828) was a British financier and a prominent Huguenot. Life and career Du Boulay was the son of Rev Benjamin François Houssemaine du Boulay and Louise Houssemaine du Boulay (''née'' Lamotte) and the great grandfather of Sir James Houssemayne Du Boulay. He married Elizabeth Paris (31 August 1775 – 19 July 1814). They had eight children. Du Boulay was a stock jobber. At one time he was the largest holder of government stock on the Bank of England list. Henry Du Boulay
The Ven. Henry Houssemayne Du Boulay, MA (25 January 1840 – 6 April 1925) was an Anglican priest: the Archdeacon of Bodmin from 1892 to 1923. He was born in Lawhitton the son of The Rev Francis Du Boulay, Rector of the parish, on 25 January 1840; and educated at Harrow and Exeter College, Oxford. He was ordained in 1865 and began his career as Domestic Chaplain and Secretary to the Bishop of Exeter. After this he was Rural Dean of Kerrier and then Vicar of Newlyn. He died on 6 April 1925.'' James Houssemayne Du Boulay
Sir James Houssemayne Du Boulay (15 April 1868 in Hampshire – 26 November 1943) was a British civil servant. Life and career Houssemayne Du Boulay was the son of James Thomas Houssemayne Du Boulay and Alice Mead Du Boulay (''née'' Cornish) and the great grandson of Francois Jacques Houssemayne Du Boulay. His mother's grandfather was Sir Robert Wilmot, 3rd Baronet (1765–1842) of Chaddesden. He was educated at Winchester College and Balliol College Oxford. On 31 July 1901 he married Freda Elais Butts Howell (1874–1957) granddaughter of Sir Thomas Howell. Lady Houssemayne Du Boulay was Lady in Waiting to Queen Mary (1911, Delhi Durbar, India). Roger Du Boulay
Sir Roger William Houssemayne Du Boulay (20 March 1922 – 14 April 2020) was a British diplomat who served as Vice-Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps. Du Boulay was educated at Winchester College and New College, Oxford. On 6 November 1942, he was commissioned into the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, and saw active service in the Second World War. On 28 February 1947, he was promoted to Flight Officer. He relinquished his commission on 28 February 1957. After the war Du Boulay joined the Colonial Service, and served in Nigeria between 1949 and 1958. In 1959 he joined Her Majesty's Diplomatic Service, and held appointments in Washington, the Foreign Office, Manila and Paris. From 1973 to 1975 he was Resident Commissioner of the New Hebrides. Shirley Du Boulay
Shirley du Boulay (4 March 1933 – 7 March 2023) was a British author and biographer, resident in Oxford. Educated at Downe House School and the Royal College of Music, she embarked on a career with the BBC in 1954, initially as a studio manager, then becoming a programme producer of Radio 4's 'Woman's Hour'. She moved to television and specialized in religious programming. She resigned from the BBC in 1978, and started to work as an author. Her biographical subjects tend to be individuals who have taken a spiritual journey of their own, and whose subsequent influence has been important. She was married to the former Jesuit priest and columnist for The Tablet, John Harriott, until his death at the end of 1990.
