Drzetowo-Grabowo is a municipal neighborhood of Szczecin, West Pomeranian Voivodeship, Poland, part of the Szczecin-Srodmiescie, Śródmieście district and borders on the north on Szczecin-Polnoc, Północ district. It was formed on the basis of two, historical neighborhoods - Szczecin-Drzetowo, Drzetowo and Szczecin-Grabowo, Grabowo. On 2018, the estimated population of Drzetowo-Grabowo was 22,655 residents. Szczecin (, , german: Stettin ; sv, Stettin ; Latin: ''Sedinum'' or ''Stetinum'') is the capital and largest city of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship in northwestern Poland. AG Vulcan Stettin
Aktien-Gesellschaft Vulcan Stettin (short AG Vulcan Stettin) was a German shipbuilding and locomotive building company. Founded in 1851, it was located near the former eastern German city of Stettin, today Polish Szczecin. Because of the limited facilities in Stettin, in 1907 an additional yard was built in Hamburg. The now named Vulcan-Werke Hamburg und Stettin Actiengesellschaft constructed some of the most famous civilian German ships and it played a significant role in both World Wars, building warships for the Kaiserliche Marine and the Kriegsmarine later. Both yards became members of the Deschimag in the 1920s. The Stettin shipyard was closed in 1928, opened again in 1939. SS Deutschland (1900)
SS ''Deutschland'' was a passenger liner built in Stettin and launched in 1900 by the Hamburg America Line of Germany. The rival North German Lloyd line had launched Germany's first four funnel liner, in 1897, and SS ''Deutschland'' was built by Hamburg America as Germany's second four-funnel liner in order to compete. Although ''SS Deutschland'' was able to capture the Blue Riband from ''Kaiser Wilhelm der Grosse'', crossing the Atlantic Ocean in just over five days, she suffered from persistent engine issues, and was withdrawn from transatlantic service in 1910 after just ten years. At this time she was renamed ''Viktoria Luise'' and converted to a dedicated cruise ship. As ''Viktoria Luise'' she saw brief service in World War I. RMS Empress Of Scotland (1906)
RMS ''Empress of Scotland'', originally SS ''Kaiserin Auguste Victoria'', was an ocean liner built in 1905–1906 by Vulcan AG shipyard in Stettin (now Szczecin, Poland) for the Hamburg America Line. The ship regularly sailed between Hamburg and New York City until the outbreak of war in Europe in 1914. At the end of hostilities, re-flagged as USS ''Kaiserin Auguste Victoria'', she transported American troops from Europe to the United States. For a brief time Cunard sailed the re-flagged ship between Liverpool and New York. The ship was refitted for Canadian Pacific Steamships (CP) and in 1921, she was renamed ''Empress of Scotland''—the first of two CP ships to bear that name. The vessel ended service in 1930 and was sold for scrap. During the demolition of the ship, the vessel caught fire, broke in two and sank. The hulls were raised and scrapped.
