Don Drummond
Don Drummond (12 March 1932Cane-Honeysett, L: ''Don Drummond Memorial Album'', liner notes. Trojan 2009. – 6 May 1969) was a Jamaican ska trombonist and composer. He was one of the original members of The Skatalites, and composed many of their tunes. In 1966, Drummond was convicted of murdering his 23-year-old lover, Anita "Marguerita" Mahfood. Biography Drummond was born at the Jubilee Hospital in Kingston, Jamaica, to Doris Monroe and Uriah Drummond. He was educated at Kingston's Alpha Boys School, where he later taught his younger schoolmate Rico Rodriguez to play the trombone. His musical career began in 1950 with the Eric Dean's All-Stars where he performed jazz. He continued into the 1960s with others, including Kenny Williams. Gordon Drummond
General Sir Gordon Drummond, GCB (27 September 1772 – 10 October 1854) was a Canadian-born British Army officer and the first official to command the military and the civil government of Canada. As Lieutenant Governor of Upper Canada, Drummond distinguished himself on the Niagara front in the War of 1812 and later became Governor-General and Administrator of Canada. Gentner Frederick Drummond (born October 3, 1963) is an American attorney, rancher, banker, and politician from Oklahoma. Drummond is a member of the Republican Party and the current Attorney General of Oklahoma. Francis Drummond (also known in Spanish as Francisco Drummond) (1798 – 1827) was an Argentinian naval sailor who died in the naval Battle of Monte Santiago against the Brazilian Imperial Navy on 8 April 1827. This battle was fought on 7–8 April 1827, during the Cisplatine War, between Argentina and Brazil. It was one of the most courageous and ferocious naval encounters in Argentine history. Felicia Jane "Flick" Beatrix Drummond (born 16 June 1962) is a British Conservative Party politician. She has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Meon Valley since 2019, having previously represented Portsmouth South from 2015 to 2017. Daniel McNaughton (October 11, 1851 – July 12, 1925) was an Ontario farmer and political figure. He represented Bruce North in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from 1893 to 1898. Edward Drummond
Edward Drummond (30 March 1792 – 25 January 1843) was a British civil servant, and was Personal Secretary to several British Prime Ministers. He was fatally shot by Daniel McNaughton, whose subsequent trial gave rise to the McNaughton rules, the legal test of insanity used in many common law jurisdictions. Life and career Drummond was a member of the family who owned and ran Drummonds Bank, and a great grandson of William Drummond, 4th Viscount Strathallan who died fighting for the Jacobite cause at the Battle of Culloden in 1746.
