Drue Hackenberg
Drue David Hackenberg (born April 1, 2002) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Atlanta Braves organization. Amateur career Hackenberg played baseball and football at Fork Union Military Academy, then transferred to The Miller School of Albemarle, where he was coached by Billy Wagner. In Hackenberg's first season at Virginia Tech, he pitched innings and recorded a 3.30 ERA that led him to earn All-ACC First Team and Freshman All-American honors. In 2023, Hackenberg pitched innings and produced a 5.70 ERA. In Hackenberg's college career, he pitched 178 innings, with a win–loss record of 15–10 in 31 appearances, and struck out 186 batters. Professional career Hackenberg was drafted by the Atlanta Braves in the 2023 Major League Baseball draft. On July 13, he signed with the Braves for an over slot deal worth $2 million. Baseball is a bat-and-ball sport played between two teams of nine players each, taking turns batting and fielding. 2021 Major League Baseball Draft
The 2021 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft took place on July 11–13, 2021. In conjunction with the 2021 Major League Baseball All-Star Game, the draft was held in Denver. The draft assigned amateur baseball players to MLB teams. The draft order was set based on the reverse order of the 2020 MLB season standings. In addition, compensation picks were distributed for players who did not sign from the 2020 MLB Draft and for teams who lost qualifying free agents. On March 26, 2020, MLB and the MLBPA reached a deal that included the option to halve the draft to 20 rounds due to the COVID-19 pandemic. MLB ultimately opted to shorten the draft to 20 rounds. The 2021 MLS SuperDraft was the 22nd edition of the SuperDraft conducted by Major League Soccer. The SuperDraft is held every January prior to the start of the MLS season. The 2020 SuperDraft was the first held exclusively via conference call and web streaming. Brandon James Hackenberg (born July 2, 1997) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a defender. Early years Hackenberg prepped at Fluvanna County High School but elected not to play high school soccer, instead choosing to concentrate on his club team. He played four seasons with Richmond United. Penn State Nittany Lions Hackenberg played college soccer at Pennsylvania State University for the Nittany Lions between 2016 and 2021. He played 22 minutes in his collegiate debut against Oakland on September 5, 2016, as a true freshman before redshirting the rest of the season. Christian Hackenberg
Christian Blaize Hackenberg (born February 14, 1995) is a former American football quarterback and current quarterbacks coach for Winslow Township High School. He played college football at Penn State, and was drafted by the New York Jets in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft. Hackenberg spent two seasons with the Jets before being released, becoming only the third quarterback selected in the first or second round of the common-draft era (since 1967) not to play a game in his first two seasons. He was also a member of the Oakland Raiders, Philadelphia Eagles, and Cincinnati Bengals, although he never actually played in an NFL game. Following his stint in the NFL, Hackenberg was drafted by the Memphis Express in the second round of 2019 AAF QB Draft.
