Crazy Town
Crazy Town (sometimes abbreviated as CXT) is an American rap rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1995 by Bret Mazur and Seth Binzer. Crazy Town is best known for their 2000 hit single "Butterfly", which reached number one on the US ''Billboard'' Hot 100 chart and helped their debut album, ''The Gift of Game'' (1999), sell over 1.6 million units. Their follow-up album, ''Darkhorse'' (2002), failed to achieve the same level of success, contributing to the band's breakup in 2003. ''Darkhorse'' is the second studio album by American rap rock band Crazy Town, released on November 12, 2002. The album peaked at No. 120 on the ''Billboard'' 200 and No. 164 in the UK. It sold less than 13,000 units in its first week. Crazy Town stated they were not personally disappointed that the album did not sell as well as their last, ''The Gift of Game'', considering they were moving the band in a new direction, away from the pop success they achieved with their number 1 song "Butterfly". Crazy Town broke up several months after the album's release, citing amongst other things including pressure from their record company for a "Butterfly" follow-up. Howard Benson
Howard Benson is an American music producer and multi-instrumentalist. He was nominated for the Producer of the Year Grammy Award in 2007 and 2008. Early life and education Benson was born and raised in a middle-class family in greater Philadelphia, the son of Estelle and Robert Benson. He is of Jewish descent. He began playing keyboards in rock bands at the age of 13. He attended college at Drexel University and studied engineering. "Revolving Door" is a song by American rap rock band Crazy Town. It was released in August 2001 as the fourth and final single from their debut album ''The Gift of Game''. It was the followup single to their No. 1 hit ''Butterfly''. Whilst failing to chart in the US, the song became a minor hit in several countries, reaching No. 19 in Finland and No. 23 in the UK. Reception Christian Genze from Allmusic stated that whilst "Revolving Door" was not a bad song by any means, it too closely resembled their previous single "Butterfly" to be a real standout. Genze stated both songs feature similar soft guitar loops, smooth beats and a relaxed mood, and that neither song was reflective of Crazy Town's album, ''The Gift of Game'', on which the majority of songs are much heavier.
