	Drought (EP) ''Drought'' is an EP by Deathspell Omega. It is the band's first release of new material since their 2010 album '' Paracletus''. It is the final release included in the band's 2012 vinyl box set incorporating the trilogy and related works, suggesting that the band regards it as thematically connected, and can be regarded as an epilogue to the trilogy. Critical reception ''Drought'' received mostly positive reviews from music critics. MetalSucks wrote that "in 20ish minutes, they create discomfort, obliterate, and even pine a little. They don’t stray far from the center, keeping things even more tightly reined in than Paracletus. But while that may seem like creative fatigue or ennui the first time through, after a while, Drought reveals itself to be so tightly packed that most of the details fly by you. 	Deathspell Omega Deathspell Omega is a French black metal band formed in 1998 in Poitiers. Their lyrical content deals primarily with Satanism on a metaphysical level – as the band has stated that "all other interpretations of Satan are intellectually invalid" – and other various theological topics. They have also released a trilogy of concept albums which focus on the theological aspects of God, Satan and man's relationship with the two. They released their sixth album, ''The Synarchy of Molten Bones'', on 8 November 2016 and their seventh, ''The Furnaces of Palingenesia'', on 24 May 2019; the last of these reflects a shift in lyrical focus to anti-authoritarian political themes. 	Paracletus ''Paracletus'' is the fifth full-length studio album recorded by the French black metal band Deathspell Omega, released on 9 November 2010 through Norma Evangelium Diaboli along with Season of Mist. It is the third part in their metaphysical trilogy of albums representing God, the Devil and Man (following ''Si monvmentvm reqvires, circvmspice'' and '' Fas – Ite, Maledicti, in Ignem Aeternum''). The term '' paracletus'' is the Latinised form of the Greek word ''παράκλητος (parákletos)'', meaning ''comforter''. It is another name for the Holy Spirit. Stylistically the album continues in the experimental vein of their previous work since 2004. The tracks are mostly continuous, being more movements of a larger piece than individual songs, although there are slight pauses in between tracks 3 and 4 and between tracks 5 and 6.
