Drogheda Feud
The Drogheda feud is a series of allegedly connected crimes in Drogheda, Ireland. Four people have been killed as a result of the feud. The feud began in 2017 when a drugs gang split into two divisions, one faction led by two brothers in their 20s from the Moneymore estate on the north side of town and the other led by Traveller boss Owen Maguire leader of the Maguire gang, based on the cement road. Background Since 2018 two criminal gangs in Drogheda have tried to control the illegal drug trade in the town. Shooting of Owen Maguire Owen Maguire was shot six times by a gunman on 5 July 2018 at his home in Cement Road, Drogheda. He was known to Gardaí though his most serious conviction was for affray near his home, for which he was sentenced to six months imprisonment. Cornelius Price
Cornelius Price (-2023) was an Irish organised crime gang leader. While he lived in Ireland, he lived in Gormanston, County Meath. Family He was a father of two children. Criminal history He was convicted of reckless endangerment by driving a van at a Garda at Balbriggan Garda station – the Garda had to jump out of the way. Price was sentenced to three years imprisonment for this and was released in May 2019. He was a chief suspect in the death of Benny Whitehouse and also in the disappearances of William Maughan and Anna Varslavane. He was believed to have lured the couple to his residence in Gormanstown, where they were murdered. He is also believed to have ordered a pipe bomb attack on the sister of William Maughan shortly after the latter went missing. Drogheda
Drogheda ( , ; , meaning "bridge at the ford") is an industrial and port town in County Louth on the east coast of Ireland, north of Dublin. It is located on the Dublin–Belfast corridor on the east coast of Ireland, mostly in County Louth but with the south fringes of the town in County Meath, north of Dublin. The Taoiseach is the head of government, or prime minister, of Republic of Ireland, Ireland. Drumcondra, Dublin
Drumcondra () is a residential area and inner suburb on the Northside of Dublin, Ireland. It is administered by Dublin City Council. The River Tolka and the Royal Canal flow through the area. History The village of Drumcondra was the central area of the civil parish of Clonturk, and the two names were used equally for the religious and civil parishes, but the modern suburban district of Drumcondra also encompasses the old Parish of St. Mary.
