Godfrey Rolles Driver
Sir Godfrey Rolles Driver (20 August 1892 – 22 April 1975), known as G. R. Driver, was an English Orientalist noted for his studies of Semitic languages and Assyriology.J. A. Ryan Driver
Ryan Craig Driver (born 30 April 1979) is an English cricketer who played first-class cricket for Worcestershire and Lancashire around the turn of the 21st century. He has captained the Jersey cricket team. Driver was born in Truro, Cornwall, and made his first List A appearance for his home-county club against Warwickshire in the 1996 NatWest Trophy. It proved a disappointing opening to his career in senior cricket, as he was run out for nought. He also played a few minor games for Cornwall that season, as well as appearing several times for Derbyshire's Second XI and once for Somerset's seconds. Rod Driver
Rodney David Driver (July 1, 1932 – January 16, 2022) was a British-born American mathematician known for research on differential equations, and a former Democratic member of the Rhode Island House of Representatives. Between 1987 and 1995 he represented the towns of Richmond and Exeter in district 52. He was reelected on November 4, 2008, and represented the 39th District consisting of parts of Richmond, Exeter, and Charlestown from January 6, 2009, to January 4, 2011. Richard Driver
Richard Driver (junior) (16 September 1829 – 8 July 1880) was a Sydney solicitor, politician and cricket administrator. Driver was born in Cabramatta, New South Wales, son of Richard Driver, hotel-keeper, and his wife Elizabeth, née Powell. In 1859, he became a solicitor for the Sydney City Council and also carried out a practice in the Sydney police court. Driver unsuccessfully contested three seats in the New South Wales Legislative Assembly in 1858 and was defeated again for East Sydney in 1859, but won West Macquarie in 1860 and held it to 1869. He was the member for Carcoar from 1869 to 1872 and Windsor from 1872 to his death in 1880. He generally supported Henry Parkes, but turned down an offer of to be made minister of mines in 1872. Moses Driver is a Fijian police officer, who is the immediate past Deputy Commissioner of Police. In this capacity, he assisted Commissioner of Police Andrew Hughes. A major part of Driver's work was pursuing investigations into the Fiji coup of 2000. Driver became Acting Police Commissioner on 29 November 2006, when Andrew Hughes took a leave of absence during the crisis which culminated in a military coup on 5 December. Charles Jonathan Driver, usually known as Jonty Driver, (born 1939) is a South African anti-apartheid activist, former political prisoner, educationalist, poet and writer. Childhood "Jonty" Driver was born in Cape Town in 1939, but spent the years of the Second World War in Kroonstad and Cradock with his mother and younger brother and grandfather who was the rector of the Anglican parish there. During this period his father did wartime service in North Africa. Driver's father was captured by the Axis forces at Tobruk and spent the rest of the war as a prisoner of war in Italy and Germany. When he came back to South Africa, the family moved to Grahamstown in the Eastern Cape, where his father was appointed chaplain at St. Andrew's College and where Jonty later did his schooling.
