Drivecenter Arena, previously known as Skellefteå Drive Center, is a motorsport race track in Fällfors ( Västerbotten County), Sweden. The circuit opened in 2019 having been converted from a retired Swedish Air Force base, Fällfors Air Base . History Fällfors Air Base had been a modernised Swedish Air Force base with three runways and a reinforced section of adjoining highway to act as a spare runway. The base was built in the 1950s. The base operated Saab 29 Tunnan, Saab 32 Lansen, Saab 35 Draken and Saab 37 Viggen fighter-bombers over the years. One of its features was a mountain hangar built in rock in the dispersal area to the north of the runways. The base closed in 2006. The base was sold off and the Skellefteå Drive Center opened in 2008 and operated as a driver training and vehicle testing facility, with the former runways used occasionally for drag racing. Radical SR3
The Radical SR3 is a race and sports car produced by Radical Sportscars, which has been built in Peterborough since 2002. The vehicle is considered a further development of the Clubsport 1100. History Designed by race car designer Mike Pilbeam, the SR3 is considered Radical's most successful model with over 1,100 units sold. The vehicle was originally developed for participation in international competitions in the C3 class of the FIA. In 2009, a further developed version of the Radical SR3 was presented. GT4 Scandinavia
GT4 Scandinavia is based on a two-driver concept, which means that an amateur and a professional share a car and drive equally in both qualifying and races. The Series is a part of the SRO Motorsports Group. However, the driver categories are three: gold, silver and bronze. The new Scandinavian GT championship will be decided in two classes, Pro/Am and Am/Am. In the former, gold and bronze drivers, or silver and bronze drivers may share a car. No other combinations are accepted. In the Am/Am class, only two bronze drivers may share a car. The competition format in GT4 Scandinavia follows other championships for the same category of cars. The Scandinavian Touring Car Championship (STCC) is a touring car racing series based in Scandinavia. The series took over from the Danish Touringcar Championship and Swedish Touring Car Championship, with its first season in 2011. Anderstorp Raceway
Anderstorp Raceway, previously known as Scandinavian Raceway, is a motorsport race track in Anderstorp (Gislaved Municipality), Sweden and the sole Nordic host of a Formula One World Championship Grand Prix, when the Swedish Grand Prix was held for six years between 1973 and 1978. Track history The track was built on marshlands in 1968 and became an extremely popular venue in the 1970s, just as Swede Ronnie Peterson was at the height of his career. It has a long straight (called ''Flight Straight'', which is also used as an aircraft runway), as well as several banked corners, making car setup an engineering compromise.
