Drive (Scott Grimes EP)
''Drive'' is the debut EP by American actor/singer/songwriter Scott Grimes, released in 2010. History ''Drive'' is the follow-up to his 2005 release, '' Livin' on the Run''. His first release was the 1989 A&M album ''Scott Grimes''. This album features songs written during many personal changes for the writing team of Scott Grimes and Dave Harris. Both men, having gone through divorces in 2006, used that experience as the backbone of this release. Songs like "Back into You", "Waiting" and "What Love Is" reflect a somber tone, while others like "Hide", "Corner Pub" and "Soon I Will Be Found" are tongue-in-cheek and fun to listen to. One of the album's highlights is the last track, "(I Don’t Wanna) Let You Go" which Grimes & Harris co-wrote with Julian Lennon and John Spinks of the Outfield. Music and lyrics ''Drive'', musically and lyrically is a slight departure from Grimes' previous album ''Livin' on the Run'' which was more rock-oriented. ''Drive'' is a quieter and soft rock ...

Drive (Robert Palmer Album)
''Drive'' is the fourteenth and final solo album by British musician Robert Palmer released in 2003. Critics hailed it as the grittiest and most heartfelt album of Palmer's career. Background Initially approached by guitarist Carl Carlton to contribute to the 2001 Robert Johnson tribute album ''Hellhound on My Trail'', for which Palmer recorded " Milk Cow's Calf Blues" with Carlton on guitars, Palmer was then invited by Faye Dunaway to provide the soundtrack to her 2001 directorial debut '' The Yellow Bird'', set in Mississippi and New Orleans during the 1940s and 1950s. Palmer took both signs as a good omen, and the impetus for ''Drive'' was born. Palmer died four months after the album's release from a heart attack on September 26, 2003. After more thoroughly researching this particular genre of music, Palmer assembled a list of fifty possible tracks, and then began the arduous task of whittling that list down to a manageable set of twelve. The selections from ''Drive'' can ...

Reception

The Allmusic review by Ron Wynn awarded the album 4 stars and stated "Lonnie Smith had the raw skills, imagination, and versatility to play burning originals, bluesy covers of R&B and pop, or skillful adaptations of conventional jazz pieces and show tunes.
