Drinkwater (film)
''Drinkwater'' is a 2021 Canadian coming-of-age comedy film, directed by Stephen Campanelli. The film stars Daniel Doheny as Mike Drinkwater, a teenager living in Penticton, British Columbia, with his father Hank (Eric McCormack); an outsider because his father does not hold down a steady job and instead lives solely off the proceeds of insurance fraud schemes, Mike finds his life transformed when he befriends Wallace (Louriza Tronco), a young woman who moves into the house next door. Stephen Campanelli
Stephen Campanelli is a movie cameraman and film director. He has been a long-term member of Clint Eastwood's film production crew. Campanelli can speak English, Italian and French. Early life Stephen Campanelli's mother Carmela emigrated from Italy to Canada. He traces his film interests to his mother sneaking into movies during WWII. Growing up in Montreal, he lived in Notre-Dame-de-Grace (NDG), Campanelli's childhood hero was Clint Eastwood. He named his dog "Clint". Career Stephen Campanelli first started camera work while at Marianopolis College, in Montreal, Quebec. He graduated from Marianopolis in 1978. Campanelli graduated from film studies from Concordia University, in Montreal, Quebec, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1983. Vancouver Film Critics Circle
The Vancouver Film Critics Circle (VFCC) was founded in 2000 by David Spaner and Ian Caddell, in order to help promote Canadian films and the British Columbia Film and Television Industry. Its membership includes print, radio, on-line, and television critics, either based in Vancouver or with Vancouver outlets. VFCC Notable Milestones The VFCC celebrated its 13th anniversary of giving awards to the year’s best films on January 7, 2013 at the Railway Club.
