Drew Parrish
Andrew Patrick Parrish (born December 8, 1997) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Atlanta Braves organization. Amateur career Parrish attended Rockledge High School in Rockledge, Florida, and Florida State University, where he played college baseball for the Florida State Seminoles. Professional career Kansas City Royals The Kansas City Royals selected Parrish in the eighth round, with the 229th overall selection, of the 2019 Major League Baseball draft, and he signed with the Royals. Parrish made his professional debut with the rookie–level Burlington Royals, and posted a 2.52 ERA across 9 appearances. Parrish did not play in a game in 2020 due to the cancellation of the minor league season because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Omaha Storm Chasers
The Omaha Storm Chasers are a Minor League Baseball team of the International League and the Triple-A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals. They are located in Papillion, Nebraska, a suburb southwest of Omaha, and play their home games at Werner Park, which opened in 2011. The team previously played at Johnny Rosenblatt Stadium from 1969 to 2010. Omaha has been the only Triple-A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals since their inception in the 1969 Major League Baseball expansion. Baseball was featured at the 2020 Summer Olympics, in Tokyo, for the first time since the 2008 Summer Olympics. Six national teams competed in the tournament: Israel, Japan (host), Mexico, South Korea, the United States, and the Dominican Republic. Baseball/softball was one of five sports that were added to the programme of the 2020 Summer Olympics only. It will not return in 2024. The United States national baseball team represents the United States in international-level baseball competitions. The team is currently ranked 5th in the world by the World Baseball Softball Confederation. Team USA won the Olympic baseball tournament in 2000, and the World Baseball Classic (WBC) in 2017. The United States was an inaugural member of the World Baseball Classic, making its debut in the first edition.
