Drew Basil
Drew Basil (born November 17, 1991) is a gridiron football placekicker who is currently a free agent. He has been a member of the Atlanta Falcons, Montreal Alouettes and Cleveland Gladiators. College career Basil committed to Ohio State University and played four years for the Ohio State Buckeyes football team. He graduated in 2013 ranked eighth all-time in field goals made at Ohio State, with 33; and third all time in field goal percentage, with 78.6%. Professional career Basil went undrafted in the 2014 NFL Draft, later signing with the Atlanta Falcons as an undrafted free agent. He later spent time with the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League in 2015, but failed to make the final roster. Placekicker
Placekicker, or simply kicker (PK or K), is the player in gridiron football who is responsible for the kicking duties of field goals and extra points. In many cases, the placekicker also serves as the team's kickoff specialist or punter. Specialized role The kicker initially was not a specialized role. Prior to the 1934 standardization of the prolate spheroid shape of the ball, drop kicking was the prevalent method of kicking field goals and conversions, but even after its replacement by place kicking, until the 1960s the kicker almost always doubled at another position on the roster. George Blanda, Lou Groza, Frank Gifford and Paul Hornung are prominent examples of players who were stars at other positions as well as being known for their kicking abilities. Upper Arlington High School
Upper Arlington High School is the sole high school in the Upper Arlington City School District in Upper Arlington, Ohio, a northwest suburb of Columbus, Ohio. It receives students from Jones Middle School and Hastings Middle School. The current principal of the high school is Mr. Andrew Theado. The mascot is a golden bear. History and former buildings The first building to serve as Upper Arlington High School, now Jones Middle School, was built in 1924, becoming the first permanent school in Upper Arlington. Iowa State Cyclones Football
The Iowa State Cyclones football program is the intercollegiate football team at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. The team is coached by Matt Campbell. The Cyclones compete in the Big 12 Conference, and are a Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) member of the NCAA. The Cyclones play their home games at Jack Trice Stadium, with a capacity of 61,500.
