Dreszcze
''Shivers'' (, ''Dreszcze'') is a 1981 Polish drama film directed by Wojciech Marczewski. It was entered into the 32nd Berlin International Film Festival, where it won the Silver Bear - Special Jury Prize. At the time of its release it was banned by the Polish Communist government. Plot Tomek (Tom) is a boy in Poland in 1955. His home life is mundane, yet tiresome; while looking through his father's library, he takes a small stamp of Madagascar from one of the books. In school, his teacher is crestfallen and cynical. During a poetry lesson where the teacher laments that he is not allowed to teach many great classics of Polish poem due to the government, bullies throw a boy's hat out of the window. When he climbs out to attempt to fetch it, the teacher obliviously closes the window on his fingers, making him fall several floors to either great injury or death. 32nd Berlin International Film Festival
The 32nd annual Berlin International Film Festival was held from 12–23 February 1982. The Golden Bear was awarded to the West German film ''Veronika Voss'' directed by Rainer Werner Fassbinder. The Honorary Golden Bear (''Goldener Ehrenbär'') was introduced for the first time in this edition to pay tribute to important figures in the world of film. The award has been presented for an exceptional artistic career and is given to the guest of honour of the Homage. In this edition it was awarded to American actor James Stewart. A new section was introduced at the festival by Manfred Salzgeber, which was renamed ''Panorama'' in 1986. Wojciech Szczęsny Marczewski (born 28 February 1944) is a Polish film director and screenwriter. He directed twelve films between 1968 and 2001. His 1981 film ''Dreszcze'' won the Silver Bear - Special Jury Prize at the 32nd Berlin International Film Festival. Marek Tadeusz Kondrat (born 18 October 1950) is a former Polish TV, film and theatrical actor, director. Career He is a graduate of the Jan Śniadecki High School No. 30 in Warsaw. Biography He was born on 1 February 1943 in Puławy as the second son of Julian and Jadwiga. His father was a forester and an infantry officer in the Polish Army, he died in the Warsaw Uprising.
