Dredg Albums
Dredg (stylized as dredg) is an American rock band formed in 1993 in Los Gatos, California. The band's lineup consists of vocalist Gavin Hayes, guitarist Mark Engles, bassist Drew Roulette and drummer and pianist Dino Campanella. Originally starting out as an alternative metal outfit, Dredg established themselves in the indie scene with their debut album ''Leitmotif'' (1999), which showed the band stylistically moving into progressive rock and art rock; the album's success landed them a deal with Interscope Records in 2001, who re-released the album later in the year. Dredg's major label debut, '' El Cielo'' (2002), was lauded by critics and helped establish a wider cult following for the band. Los Gatos, California
Los Gatos (, ; ) is an incorporated town in Santa Clara County, California, United States. The population is 33,529 according to the 2020 census. It is located in the San Francisco Bay Area just southwest of San Jose in the foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains. Los Gatos is part of Silicon Valley, with several high technology companies maintaining a presence there. Cult Following
A cult following refers to a group of fans who are highly dedicated to some person, idea, object, movement, or work, often an artist, in particular a performing artist, or an artwork in some medium. The lattermost is often called a cult classic. A film, book, musical artist, television series, or video game, among other things, is said to have a cult following when it has a small but very passionate fanbase. A common component of cult followings is the emotional attachment the fans have to the object of the cult following, often identifying themselves and other fans as members of a community. The Apex Theory
Mt. Helium, formerly known as the Apex Theory, was an American rock band from Los Angeles, California, that was known for playing Mediterranean music mixed with progressive rock. The band has released three studio albums and three extended plays to date. Morrissey was a follower of the band. Pressure 4-5 was an American rock band hailing from Santa Barbara, California. The band released one studio album, '' Burning the Process'', in October 2001 and toured into the following year. They soon after broke up upon many of the band members leaving for lifestyles not relating to music. ''Kludge'' was a Los Angeles-based online music magazine devoted to long-form music journalism, album reviews, music news and interviews. It included a media section and a discussion forum. Founded in 2000 by editor-in-chief Arturo Perez, the magazine developed a reputation for its extensive coverage of underground and independent music. ''Kludge'' had a combined staff of over twenty writers, editors, graphic designers, and photographers. A leitmotif or leitmotiv () is a "short, recurring musical phrase" associated with a particular person, place, or idea. ''Orph'' is a three-song demo that was released by the band Dredg in 1997. About the album Drummer Dino Campanella says, "Our first two recordings were written to be rhythmically aggressive. We did the third one, ''Orph'', because we wanted to grow up the right way, from our roots with harmony and melody." Los Gatos High School (LGHS) is a high school in Los Gatos, California. It was founded in 1908 and is part of the Los Gatos-Saratoga Joint Union High School District, which in 2021 was ranked the best high school district in Caliifornia The school enrolls approximately 2,100 students and employs about 100 teachers. Los Gatos High School is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and has regularly received six-year accreditations, the highest possible.
