Lee Garbett
Lee Garbett is a British comic book artist born in the West Midlands. He has worked on British comics. As of February 2011, he is working freelance after a period of exclusivity with DC Comics. Career He created the 4-issue mini-series ''Dark Mists'' with Annika Eade, which follows a group of Geisha blackmailed into becoming assassins. After AP Comics folded the title was picked up and reprinted by Markosia. Lee left the series after issue No. 3 and moved to '' 2000 AD'', most notably on the series '' London Falling'', co-created with Simon Spurrier. He also worked on a ''Judge Dredd'' strip for the Judge Dredd Megazine. He then moved to US publisher, DC Comics and their Wildstorm imprint. There he first worked on '' The Highwaymen'' before working with Keith Giffen on ''Midnighter'' and the DC/Wildstorm Universe crossover ''Dreamwar''. Keith Giffen
Keith Ian Giffen (born November 30, 1952) is an American comics artist and writer. He is known for his work for DC Comics on their '' Legion of Super-Heroes'' and ''Justice League'' titles as well as for being the co-creator of Lobo. Biography Keith Giffen was born in Queens, New York. His first published work was "The Sword and The Star", a black-and-white text story featured in ''Marvel Preview'' #4 (Jan. 1976), with writer Bill Mantlo. Giffen and Mantlo created Rocket Raccoon in ''Marvel Preview'' #7 (Summer 1976). Giffen is best known for his long runs illustrating and later writing the '' Legion of Super-Heroes'' title in the 1980s and 1990s. Giffen and writer Paul Levitz crafted " The Great Darkness Saga" in ''Legion of Super-Heroes'' vol. 2, #290–294 in 1982. Michael McKone is a British comic book artist. Career McKone's first published works for the major companies included ''Justice League of America'' and ''Justice League International'' for DC Comics and ''The Punisher War Zone'' for Marvel Comics. In comics in the United States, a trade paperback (shortened: TPB or trade) is a collection of stories originally published in comic books, reprinted in book format, usually presenting either a complete miniseries, a story arc from a single title, or a series of stories with an arc or common theme. A trade paperback may reproduce the stories either at the same size in which they were originally presented (in comic book format), in a smaller " digest-sized" format, or a larger-than-original hardcover. Newsarama is an American website that publishes news, interviews, and essays about the American comic book industry. It is owned by Future US. In June 2020, Newsarama was merged with the website GamesRadar+, also owned by FutureUS. History Newsarama began in mid-1995 as a series of Internet forum postings on the Prodigy comic book message boards by fan Mike Doran. In the forum postings, Doran shared comic book-related news items he had found across the World Wide Web and, as these postings became more regular and read widely, he gave them the title "Prodigy Comic Book Newswire." Wildstorm Productions, (stylized as WildStorm), is an American comic book imprint. Originally founded as an independent company established by Jim Lee under the name "Aegis Entertainment" and expanded in subsequent years by other creators, Wildstorm became a publishing imprint of DC Comics in 1999. Until it was shut down in 2010, the Wildstorm imprint remained editorially separate from DC Comics, with its main studio located in California. In the field of comic books, a limited series is a comics series with a predetermined number of issues. A limited series differs from an ongoing series in that the number of issues is finite and determined before production, and it differs from a one shot in that it is composed of multiple issues. The term is often used interchangeably with miniseries (mini-series) and maxiseries (maxi-series), usually depending on the length and number of issues. Scott James Peterson (born December 9, 1968) is an American editor at WildStorm Productions, an imprint of DC Comics, and a writer of comic books and children's books. Career Peterson joined the staff of DC Comics as the assistant of Dennis O'Neil in 1991. He worked as an editor of Batman-related titles from 1991–1998 and spent eight years as a freelance writer of comic books and children's books before returning to the editor's desk at WildStorm in July, 2006.
