Covenant (band)
Covenant is a Swedish electronic band formed in Helsingborg in 1988. The band is currently composed of Eskil Simonsson and Joakim Montelius (born 22 August 1969) along with touring members Andreas Catjar, Daniel Jonasson from Dupont, and Daniel Myer from Haujobb. Their music comprises a mixture of synthpop and electronic body music. They have been releasing music since the early 1990s. History In the late 1970s and early 1980s, electronic music and several of its subgenres became a preferred musical style among European underground culture. It gained favor initially within major cities and eventually trickled into the continent's more secluded regions. Electronic body music (acronymized to EBM) is a genre of electronic music that combines elements of industrial music and synth-punk with elements of disco and dance music. It developed in the early 1980s in Western Europe as an outgrowth of both punk and industrial music cultures. It combines sequenced repetitive basslines, programmed dance music rhythms, and mostly undistorted vocals and commandlike shouts with confrontational or provocative themes. ''Sequencer'', released in May 1996, is the second album by the Swedish musical group Covenant. In March 1997, a second edition by the name ''Sequencer: Beta'' was released, containing an additional track. In the US, the album was released in 1997 on the 21st Circuitry label, and again in July 1999 on Metropolis Records. A phonograph record (also known as a gramophone record, especially in British English), or simply a record, is an analog sound storage medium in the form of a flat disc with an inscribed, modulated spiral groove. Edge Of Dawn
Edge of Dawn is a German futurepop band consisting of Mario Schumacher and Frank M. Spinath (also a member of Seabound). Schumacher founded the band as a solo project in 1998. Spinath joined the project as vocalist in 2005. The duo's debut release, also in 2005, was the EP ''The Flight ux'. This was followed by two releases in 2007: the full-length ''Enjoy the Fall'', which achieved the number three position on the German Alternative Chart in June 2007 and the EP ''Borderline Black Heart''. Edge of Dawn's second studio album ''Anything That Gets You Through The Night'' was released May 21, 2010.
