Drang-Drung Glacier
The Drang-Drung Glacier (also called Durung Drung Glacier) is a mountain glacier near the Pensi La (la means pass) Kargil - Zanskar Road in the Kargil district of Ladakh in India. The Drang-Drung Glacier is likely to be the largest glacier in Ladakh other than the Siachen Glacier in the Karakoram Range, with a maximum length of at an average elevation of . The glacier lies in the northeastern Himalayan Range known as the Zanskar Range, south of Kargil and east of Srinagar, the capital of Jammu and Kashmir. The Zanskar River is the first major tributary of the Indus River, equal or greater in volume than the main river, which flows entirely within Ladakh, India. It originates northeast of the Great Himalayan range and drains both the Himalayas and the Zanskar Range within the region of Zanskar. It flows northeast to join the Indus River near Nimo. Zoji La (sometimes Zojila Pass) is a high mountain pass in the Himalayas. It is in the Indian Union territory of Ladakh, Kargil district, Kashmir. Nun Kun is a mountain massif of the greater Himalayan range, located on the border of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh in northern India. Suru River (Indus)
The Suru River is a tributary of the Indus River that flows largely through the Kargil district of Ladakh, India. The Suru Valley is coextensive with the Kargil tehsil, with the town of Kargil situated on its banks. The river enters the Skardu District of Pakistani-administered Gilgit-Baltistan, coursing a brief length before joining the Indus at Nurla.
