Dragoljub Velimirović
Dragoljub Velimirović (Serbian Cyrillic: Драгољуб Велимировић; 12 May 1942 – 22 May 2014) was a Serbian (formerly Yugoslav) chess grandmaster, born in Valjevo. Biography He was introduced to chess at the age of seven by his mother Jovanka Velimirović (1910–1972), who was one of Yugoslavia's leading women chess players before World War II. He lived in Belgrade from 1960. FIDE awarded him the International Master title in 1972 and Grandmaster title in 1973. He won the Yugoslav Chess Championship three times, in Vrnjacka Banja 1970 (with Milan Vukić), in Novi Sad 1975 (outright) and in Nikšić/Belgrade 1997 (also outright). Velimirović was selected for the Yugoslav national team many times, one of the earliest occasions being for the ''USSR vs Yugoslavia'' match at Ohrid 1972, during which he notably defeated Rafael Vaganian in the first round. Dragoljub "Mićko" Ljubičić ( sr, Драгољуб "Мићко" Љубичић; born 3 January 1962) is a Serbian actor, humorist, and comedian, best known for his involvement with the television programs '' Indexovo radio pozorište'', ''Pozovi M... ili će on tebe'' and ''PLjiŽ''. Early career Sometimes billed as Dragoljub S. Ljubičić Mićko, he studied law at the University of Belgrade but left in his third year without graduating, being simultaneously involved with music and radio advertising. In 1984 he joined '' Indexovo radio pozorište'' (Index's Radio Theatre), a popular Serbian radio programme that eventually grew into a theatrical group. Dragoljub Mićunović
Dragoljub Mićunović ( sr-Cyrl, Драгољуб Мићуновић ; born 14 July 1930) is a Serbian politician and philosopher. As one of the founders of the Democratic Party, he served as its leader from 1990 to 1994, and as the president of the parliament of Serbia and Montenegro from 2000 to 2004. Early life Mićunović was born on 14 July 1930 in Merdare, Kingdom of Yugoslavia. He spent his childhood in Skopje where his father Mile worked as a civil servant. Following the annexation of parts of Yugoslavia by the Italian puppet Albanian Kingdom and Axis Kingdom of Bulgaria, he sought refuge in the Territory of the Military Commander in Serbia. After World War II, he resumed high school in Kursumlija and Prokuplje. Mićunović was then sentenced to 20 months of forced labour at Goli Otok island by the Yugoslav authorities. Dragoljub Ojdanić
Dragoljub Ojdanić ( sr-Cyrl, Драгољуб Ојданић; 1 June 1941 – 6 September 2020) was a Serbian army general who served as the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Yugoslavia and Minister of Defence of Yugoslavia. Ojdanić commanded the Uzice corps during the Bosnian War and was tried and convicted of the deportation and forcible transfer of Kosovo Albanians during the Kosovo War by the ICTY. Education and career In 1958, Ojdanić studied at the Yugoslav military academy and graduated in 1964. He was deputy commander of the 37th Corps, with command in Užice. He was promoted to Major General on 20 April 1992 and he became the commander of Užice korpus. Dragoljub Jeremić (; 9 August 1978 – 12 March 2022) was a Serbian footballer who played as a defender. Club career Jeremić spent most of his career at Partizan, making 59 league appearances and scoring one goal. He also spent some time on loan to Radnički Kragujevac, Panserraikos (Greece), and Rabotnički (Macedonia). After leaving Partizan, Jeremić briefly played for Bežanija, before retiring. Dragoljub Simonović ( sr-cyr, Дpaгoљуб Симоновић, bg, Драголюб Симонович; born 30 October 1972) is a Serbian-born Bulgarian former footballer. Club career Simonović began his club career at the local FK Obilić, before transferring to Bulgarian Litex Lovech in 1998, where he won the 1998/1999 Bulgarian Championship. Dragoljub Minić (March 5, 1937 – c. April 5, 2005) was a Yugoslav Grandmaster of chess. He won the championship of Yugoslavia in 1962 (joint with Aleksandar Matanović). Chess career Minić's chess career was primarily in the 1960s and 1970s. He represented Yugoslavia in many competitions, including the 1962 Varna Olympiad, where he scored 6½ out of 8 games for Yugoslavia, which finished second to the Soviet Union, and the 1970 Siegen Olympiad, where he scored 8½ out of 10 for Yugoslavia, which finished third behind the Soviet Union and Hungary. Minić also served as a second to Svetozar Gligorić and Ljubomir Ljubojević, Yugoslavia's most prominent grandmasters. Minić was famous for his knowledge of the game and great analytical ability.
