Dragan Marković (footballer)
Dragan Marković ( sr-cyr, Драган Марковић; born 2 May 1960), commonly known as Palma ("palm tree"), is a Serbian businessman, politician and entrepreneur. He currently serves as a member of the National Assembly of Serbia and is a founder and the party leader of United Serbia (''Jedinstvena Srbija''). He was the mayor of Jagodina from 2004 until 2012. In February 2001, he was appointed Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management in the first post-Milošević government of Serbia. Controversies Due to public statements against the LGBT population, Markovic was sentenced by the First Basic Court in Belgrade in November 2011 for "severe discrimination", defined as "inciting and inciting inequality, hatred and intolerance based on sexual orientation". Mića Jovanović ( sr-cyr, Мића Јовановић, born 28 January 1953) is a Serbian businessman and university professor. He is the founder and long-time head of Belgrade's Megatrend University. He resigned the position in 2014 after allegations that he had falsely claimed to have a doctorate from the London School of Economics and had supervised a plagiarized thesis. In 2019, Jovanović was once again elected as rector of Megatrend. Early life Jovanović was born in Knjaževac, Eastern Serbia (then part of FPR Yugoslavia), on 28 January 1953. He completed high school in Bor (1972) and graduated from the Faculty of Political Sciences of the University of Belgrade (1976). Marinika Tepić (; sr-Cyrl, Мариника Тепић, ; born 8 August 1974) is a Serbian politician. The Government of Serbia under Zoran Đinđić as the Prime Minister was formed on 25 January 2001. It is the first post-Milošević government formed after Serbian parliamentary elections held on 23 December 2000, when the Democratic Opposition of Serbia coalition (DOS) won 64.09% of the popular vote translating into 176 seats in the Serbian National Assembly (out of 250 seats).
