''Drag Is Magic'' is a Children's music, children's Extended play, EP by American Drag (clothing), drag performer Nina West, released by Producer Entertainment Group on May 17, 2019 alongside her comedy and political EP ''John Goodman (EP), John Goodman'', following her departure from the RuPaul's Drag Race (season 11), eleventh season of ''RuPaul's Drag Race''. Music videos were made for both the title track and "The Drag Alphabet", with the former serving as the EP's lead single. Nina West promoted the songs on her similarly titled 2019 World of Wonder (company), World of Wonder series, ''Drag Is Magic with Nina West'', and in 2020 during the Digital Drag Fest series. Nina West
Nina West is the stage name of Andrew Robert Levitt, an American drag queen, activist, actor, and singer-songwriter based in Columbus, Ohio. She rose to national prominence with her appearance on the eleventh season of ''RuPaul's Drag Race'', where she placed sixth and won Miss Congeniality. She was named the Top Local Artist of 2019 by ''Columbus Underground''. West has also released three EPs—'' Drag Is Magic'', ''John Goodman'', and '' The West Christmas Ever'', all released in 2019. Drag Queen Story Hour (DQSH), Drag Queen Storytime, Drag Story Time, and Drag Story Hour are children's events first started in 2015 by author and activist Michelle Tea in San Francisco with the goals of promoting reading and diversity.
