Dr. Leite Lopes–Ribeirão Preto State Airport
Dr. Leite Lopes State Airport is the airport serving Ribeirão Preto, Brazil. It is operated by Rede Voa. History Dr. Leite Lopes State Airport was opened on April 2, 1939, and soon after, in 1940, the runway was extended for the first time. In 1996 the whole airport complex received its major renovation in which the runway and adjoining taxiway were extended from 1,800m to 2,100m and a new larger apron was built. In 2006 the width of the runway was enlarged to 45m and finally in July 2010 the renovation and enlargement of the terminal building was completed. On July 15, 2021 the concession of the airport was auctioned to Rede Voa under the name Consórcio Voa NW e Voa SE. The airport was previously operated by DAESP. DAESP - Departamento Aeroviário do Estado de São Paulo ( en, Airways Department of São Paulo State) was the São Paulo state (in Brazil) aviation department. DAESP was part of the ''Secretaria de Transportes do Governo do Estado de São Paulo'' ( en, Transportation Secretariat of the State of São Paulo), and was responsible for the management of 21 public airports within the state, in accordance to directives from the National Civil Aviation Agency of Brazil (ANAC). It was created in 1963 as ''Diretoria de Aeroportos'' ( en, Directorate of Airports) of the ''Secretaria de Viação e Obras Públicas'' ( en, Public Works and Transit Secretariat). Rio Grande do Norte/São Gonçalo do Amarante–Governador Aluízio Alves International Airport is an airport in São Gonçalo do Amarante, Brazil serving Natal and its metropolitan area. The airport is managed by Consortium Inframérica. History The airport was built to replace Augusto Severo International Airport. Planning started in 2007 and envisaged an intermodal airport, focusing both on passenger and cargo transportation. The complex was expected to have the highest aircraft traffic in the North East of Brazil. On May 12, 2011, the National Civil Aviation Agency of Brazil (ANAC) released a document opening the concession of the airport to private entrepreneurs. The auction to choose the winner took place on August 22, 2011. DAFIF () or the ''Digital Aeronautical Flight Information File'' is a comprehensive database of up-to-date aeronautical data, including information on airports, airways, airspaces, navigation data, and other facts relevant to flying in the entire world, managed by the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) of the United States. Withdrawal of public access DAFIF was publicly available until October 2006 through the Internet; however, it was closed to public access because "increased numbers of foreign source providers are claiming intellectual property rights or are forewarning NGA that they intend to copyright their source". Currently, only federal and state government agencies, authorized government contractors, and Department of Defense customers are able to access the DAFIF data. São Paulo/Congonhas–Deputado Freitas Nobre Airport is one of the four commercial airports serving São Paulo, Brazil. The airport is named after the neighborhood where it is located, called Vila Congonhas, property of the descendants of Lucas Antônio Monteiro de Barros (1767–1851), Viscount of Congonhas do Campo, first president of the Province of São Paulo after the independence of Brazil in 1822, during the Empire. In turn, the Viscount's domain was named after the plural of a shrub known in Brazil as ''congonha-do-campo'' (''Luxemburgia polyandra'', of the Ochnaceae family).
