Lucas Dolega
Lucas Dolega (19 August 1978 – 17 January 2011), born Loucas von Zabiensky-Mebrouk and also called Lucas Mebrouk Dolega, was a French/German photojournalist. He was reportedly killed by Tunisian police while he was photographing a protest in Tunis. As reported in The Guardian (UK), Dolega was the first journalist killed during the 2010-2011 Tunisian protests, according to Reporters Without Borders. He was also the first journalist to die while on assignment during the Arab Spring uprisings. He was fatally injured on the same day that Zine El Abidine Ben Ali fled Tunisia for exile. Personal information Dolega was born in Paris on 19 August 1978 to a German mother and a French father, a journalist and a doctor respectively. Marcin Dołęga (Polish pronunciation: ; born 18 July 1982) is a Polish weightlifter. He is a three-time World champion in the 105 kg weight division. Personal life Dołęga was born on 18 July 1982 in Łuków, Poland. His brothers Robert and Daniel are also weightlifters. Career Dołęga broke the snatch world record in 2002 with 198 kg, and in 2006 with 199 kg. In 2004 Dołęga was banned for two years because of doping use. He won at the 2006 World Weightlifting Championships, with a total of 415 kg. He also won at the 2006 European Weightlifting Championships. He represented Poland at the 2008 Summer Olympics, ranking 3rd with a total of 420 kg. He won a silver medal for the heavyweight division at the 2000 European Weightlifting Championships in Sofia, Bulgaria, and bronze at the 2008 European Weightlifting Championships in Lignano Sabbiadoro, Italy. Tadeusz Dołęga-Mostowicz (; 10 August 1898 – 20 September 1939) was a Polish writer, journalist and author of over a dozen popular novels. One of his best known works, which in Poland became a byword for fortuitous careerism, was ''The Career of Nicodemus Dyzma'' ( pl, Kariera Nikodema Dyzmy, 1932). Literary historians believe the book inspired the 1971 novel ''Being There'' by Jerzy Kosiński, with some charging Kosiński with plagiarism, which sparked considerable controversy in the West.
