"Down for You" is a song recorded by Australian electronic music duo Cosmo's Midnight and Australian singer-songwriter Ruel. The song was released on 31 January 2020 as the fourth single from Cosmo's Midnight second studio album '' Yesteryear''. The song peaked at number 9 on the New Zealand Hot Singles. Originally meet in 2018, Cosmo's Midnight invited Ruel to make his festival debut as a guest vocalist in their set at Groovin the Moo festival. Upon release of the single, Cosmo's Midnight said "He joined us on stage for an impromptu on-stage collab. We immediately knew we had to write a song together. The stars didn't align until a year later, but we made up for lost time and wrote 'Down for You'. Cosmo's Midnight are an Australian electronic music duo formed in 2012 in Sydney, New South Wales. The duo consists of twin brothers, Cosmo and Patrick Liney. The countdown was announced on the fourth weekend of January. "What You Won't Do for Love" is a song by American singer-songwriter Bobby Caldwell. It was released in September 1978 as the lead single from his eponymous debut album. It was written by Caldwell and Alfons Kettner, and produced by Ann Holloway. The song has been covered and sampled numerous times, including by Tupac Shakur in the posthumous 1998 hit " Do for Love". Background and release After gaining a reputation in Miami clubs as a talented musician, Caldwell was signed to an exclusive contract with TK Records in 1978 by TK Records president Henry Stone. Heading to the studio, Caldwell recorded his first album, which was given a redo after Stone felt the album was good but "didn't have a hit".
