Dowen College
Dowen College is a co-education college located in Lekki, a suburb of Lagos. The college takes both boarding and day pupils and admits them between the age of 11–18 years. In 2015, the school organised a valedictory service, where outstanding students in their academy performance were rewarded. The music video for Wizkid's "Holla at Your Boy" was shot at Dowen College. Death of Sylvester Oromoni In December 2021, Sylvester Oromoni, a 12-year-old student was alleged to have been bullied and beaten to death by 5 seniors for refusing to join a cult group. According to the deceased father, they also gave him a chemical substance to drink. Upon his death, the Lagos State Government closed the school indefinitely pending outcome of their investigation. Lekki Peninsula
Lekki is a city in Lagos State, Nigeria. It is located to the south-east of Lagos city. Lekki is a naturally formed peninsula, adjoining to its west Victoria Island and Ikoyi districts of Lagos, with the Atlantic Ocean to its south, Lagos Lagoon to the north, and Lekki Lagoon to its east; however, the city's southeast, which ends around the western edge of Refuge Island, adjoins the eastern part of Ibeju-Lekki LGA. Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun (born 16 July 1990), known professionally as Wizkid, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. A prominent figure in the modern-day Afrobeats music scene, Wizkid is regarded as one of the biggest and most influential African artists of all time. "Holla at Your Boy" is a song by Nigerian singer Wizkid. It was officially released on 2nd January 2010, as the lead single from his debut studio album ''Superstar'' (2011). The song was produced by DJ Klem (Knighthouse) and Vebee. Background "Holla at Your Boy" earned Wizkid the Next Rated award at The Headies 2011. The song is a cover of the song "Girls" by Korean singer named Se7en, which featured female rapper Lil Kim In addition to winning the award, he was awarded a 2012 Hyundai Sonata courtesy of the organizers.
