Dovhenke ( uk, Довгеньке) is a selo in Izium Raion, Kharkiv Oblast, Ukraine. It belongs to Oskil rural hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. Dovhenke had a pre-war population of 850 people. The village is very close to the border between Kharkiv Oblast and Donetsk Oblast, and it is located approximately 26 kilometers south of the city of Izium. The village has road access to Highway M03, which connects Kharkiv and Sloviansk. During the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine On 24 February 2022, in a major escalation of the Russo-Ukrainian War, which began in 2014. Kharkiv Oblast ( uk, Харківська́ о́бласть, translit=Kharkivska oblast), also referred to as Kharkivshchyna ( uk, Ха́рківщина), is an oblast (province) of eastern Ukraine. Izium Raion () is a raion (district) in Kharkiv Oblast of Ukraine. Its administrative center is the city of Izium. Highway M03 (Ukraine)
Highway M03 is a Ukrainian international highway ( M-highway) connecting Kyiv with Dovzhansky on the border with Russia, where it continues into Russia as the A270. It is part of European route E40 from Kyiv to Debaltseve at which it is part of European route E50 to the border with Russia. At , the M03 is the longest international state highway in Ukraine. In Soviet times the M03 was part of the M19. Today, the highway stretches through five oblasts and ends at the border checkpoint at Dovzhansky which is part of Sverdlovsk Raion (Luhansk Oblast).
