Doug Johnson (American Football)
Doug Johnson, Jr. (born October 27, 1977) is an American former college and professional football player who was a quarterback in the National Football League (NFL) for five seasons during the early 2000s. Johnson played college football for the University of Florida, and thereafter, he played professionally for the Atlanta Falcons, the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Cincinnati Bengals, the Cleveland Browns, and the Tennessee Titans of the NFL. He has two children and a wife. He is in the Florida Georgia Hall of fame and also played in MLB for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. He was the third baseman and the pitcher he played for 2 years. Doug Johnson (Loverboy)
Loverboy is a Canadian rock band formed in 1979 in Calgary, Alberta. Loverboy's hit singles, particularly " Turn Me Loose" and "Working for the Weekend", have become arena rock staples and are still heard on many classic rock and classic hits radio stations across Canada and the United States. After being rejected by many American record labels, they signed with Columbia/CBS Records Canada and began recording their first album on March 20, 1980. Loverboy's founding members were lead singer Mike Reno (previously with Moxy as Mike Rynoski); guitarist Paul Dean (previously with Scrubbaloe Caine and Streetheart); keyboardist Doug Johnson; bassist Jim Clench (who was replaced after one gig by Scott Smith); and drummer Matt Frenette. Douglas J. Johnson (August 17, 1942 – November 7, 2022) was an American politician in the state of Minnesota. Johnson was born in Cook, Minnesota and graduated from Cook High School. He received his associate degree from Virginia Community College (now Mesabi Range College) and his bachelor's degree from University of Minnesota Duluth. He also received his master's degree from University of Wisconsin–Superior. Johnson was a high school guidance counselor. He served as the mayor of Cook, Minnesota and was a Democrat. Johnson served in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 1971 to 1976 and in the Minnesota State Senate from 1977 to 2002. Doug Johnson is an American jazz and classical pianist who has performed with Esperanza Spalding and Grace Kelly. He teaches at the Berklee College of Music and at Wellesley College. Education Doug Johnson received a B.M. from Michigan State University and an M.M. from the New England Conservatory, where he studied with Dave Holland and George Russell. Performances Johnson has performed extensively in the U.S. at major venues such as the Jazz Standard in New York City. In Europe, he has performed in London, Vienna, Berlin, Paris, and Copenhagen. Doug Johnson (born in Swainsboro, Georgia) is an American record producer and songwriter. He began in the 1970s working as an engineer and mixer for the Lowery Group. His first production credit was for The Burch Sisters, an act which signed with Mercury Nashville in 1988. A year later, Johnson helped Doug Stone secure a contract with Epic Records. While at Epic, Johnson became the vice president of A&R, helping the label to sign Patty Loveless while producing for Ty Herndon, John Michael Montgomery, and others. Johnson also assembled the members of the Gibson/Miller Band, which recorded two albums for Epic. He was promoted to senior vice president of the label in 1994, then moved to Giant Records in 1997, becoming president of that label. Johnson also produces and co-writes for Lee Brice. Douglas Wilson Johnson (1878–1944) was an American geographer and geomorphologist known for his contributions to the understanding of coastal processes and landforms. Johnson was a descendant of a slave-holding American family of English roots. Johnson's grandfather freed his slaves and paid for their passage to Liberia after he had become convinced convinced that slavery was against his religious beliefs. During the First World War, Johnson investigated military geography and geopolitics. Douglas William John Johnson (1925–2005) was a British historian. He was Professor of Modern History at the University of Birmingham from 1963 to 1968, and Professor of French History at University College London from 1968 to 1990. Life Johnson was born on 1 February 1925 in Edinburgh, Scotland. He attended the Royal Grammar School in Lancaster, Lancashire, England. He studied history Worcester College, Oxford, having been awarded a scholarship. There was a break in his studies as he served in the Second World War with the Northamptonshire Regiment from 1943 to 1944. Having been invalided out of the British Army, he returned to Oxford and graduated in 1946 with a second-class honours Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree. His academic career was as a historian of France.
