Douglas Allen Booth
Sir Douglas Allen Booth, 3rd Bt (born 2 December 1949), is an Anglo-American aristocratic screen writer and television producer. Early life He is the elder son of Sir Philip Booth (1907–1960),''Burke's Peerage, Baronetage and Knightage'', 107th edition, vol. 1, ed. Charles Mosley, Burke's Peerage Ltd, 2003, p. 427 and Ethel (''née'' Greenfield; 1914–2018), a pioneering broadcaster. He was educated at Beverly Hills High School, California, before going up to Harvard to read American History and Literature, graduating Bachelor of Arts '' magna cum laude''. Upon his father's death in 1960, he succeeded to the baronetcy. Career As a television producer In 1985, Booth worked as an associate producer for fifty-five episodes of the television series '' G. Booth Baronets
There have been three baronetcies created for persons with the surname Booth, one in the Baronetage of England and two in the Baronetage of the United Kingdom. The 1916 creation remains extant, the 1835 creation became extinct in 1896 and the 1611 baronetcy has been dormant since 1797. The senior line of the first creation was elevated to the peerage as Baron Delamer and Earl of Warrington. History The Booth Baronetcy, of Dunham Massey in the County of Chester, was created in the Baronetage of England on 22 May 1611 for Sir George Booth, High Sheriff of both Lancashire and Cheshire. The Booths were amongst the first eighteen families raised to the baronetage when the Order of Baronets was first instituted by James I in 1611. Conan The Adventurer (animated Series)
''Conan the Adventurer'' is an animated television series adaptation of Conan the Barbarian, the literary character created by Robert E. Howard in the 1930s. Produced by Jetlag Productions in association with Sunbow Productions, the series debuted on September 13, 1992, ran for 65 episodes and concluded on November 22, 1993. The series was developed by Christy Marx who served as the sole story editor. The series was produced in association with Graz Entertainment for the first 13-episode season; AB Productions and Jean Chalopin's Créativité et Développement for the remaining episodes. The series also spawned a small toyline in 1992 created by Hasbro. This first incarnation of Conan in cartoon form performed much better than its follow-up cartoon, ''Conan and the Young Warriors'', which lasted only 13 episodes. The Glo Friends
''The Glo Friends'' is an American television series that originally aired in 1986 as a segment of ''My Little Pony 'n Friends''. Produced by Sunbow Productions and Marvel Productions in collaboration with Toei Animation, the 26 segments of ''Glo Friends'' played in rotation as a secondary series, alternating with ''MoonDreamers'' and ''Potato Head Kids''. ''Glow Friends'' was later broadcast on the (CBN) Family Channel from 1989 to 1995 as part of the ''My Little Pony'' rebroadcast. The television series was preceded by the Glo Friends toyline: small glow-in-the-dark toys in the shape of insects and other small creatures. ''Potato Head Kids'' is an American animated television series that aired in 1986. It was made to pair with ''My Little Pony 'n Friends''. An episode of '' My Little Pony'' was played for 15 minutes, and then an episode of ''Potato Head Kids'', ''MoonDreamers'', or ''The Glo Friends'' was played. It appeared on CBN Family Channel from 1989 to 1990. Premise ''Potato Head Kids'' was an outgrowth of the Mr. Potato Head character franchise. Mr. Potato Head now played an adult figure in the lives of the title kids, a varied bunch of anthropomorphic potatoes with different personalities. ''Robotix'' is a 1985 American animated series based on the original Milton Bradley toyline of the same name featured on the '' Super Sunday'' programming block. The toyline is of the construction type that includes motors, wheels and pincers and similar to the Erector Set and K'Nex. A Real American Hero (1985 TV Series)
''G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero'' (also known as Action Force in the UK) is a military-themed line of action figures and toys in Hasbro's G.I. Joe franchise. The toyline lasted from 1982 to 1994, producing well over 500 figures and 250 vehicles and playsets. The line reappeared in 1997 and has continued in one form or another to the present day. It was supported by two animated series (Sunbow, then DIC Entertainment, DIC) as well as a major comic series published by Marvel Comics. The toyline continues to play a large part in Hasbro's G.I.
