John Dougall (born April 2, 1966) is an American politician from the state of Utah who has been serving as the Utah State Auditor . A member of the Republican Party, he previously served as a Utah State Representative from 2003 to 2013. Dougall assumed office during the 55th legislative session, replacing David Litvack. John Joseph Dougall (1860 – 5 September 1934) was Mayor of Christchurch in 1911–1912. He was a solicitor by profession. In his later life, the Navy League was his main interest. Early life Dougall was born in Aberdeenshire in Scotland in 1860. He attended Greyfriars Parish School in Aberdeen. Mary Dougall (a dressmaker aged 35 or 25) came to New Zealand with John Dougall and his younger brother Alexander in 1871 on board the ship ''Merope''. Peter Dougall
Peter Dougall (21 March 1909 – 12 June 1974) was a Scottish footballer who played at inside left for various clubs in the 1920s and 1930s. He later managed in the Netherlands. Football career Dougall was born in Denny, Stirlingshire and played for Dunipace as a youth before moving to England to join Burnley of the Football League First Division in October 1926, aged 17 (his brother Billy had joined the ''Clarets'' around six months earlier). He broke into the first team in the following season when he replaced the well-established inside left Joe Devine for six matches, scoring twice. With Devine the first-choice for the No. 10 shirt, Dougall spent most of his time at Turf Moor in the reserves, and in February 1929 he returned to Scotland to join Clyde. Robert Dougall
Robert Dougall, MBE (27 November 1913 – 18 December 1999) was an English broadcaster and ornithologist, mainly known as a newsreader and announcer. Early life and radio broadcasting Dougall was born and educated in Croydon, Surrey. He attended Whitgift School but did not carry on to university despite having some talent in languages, specifically French and German. He joined the BBC initially in the accounts department, but soon found a job as an announcer for the BBC Empire Service (the predecessor of the BBC World Service) on his 21st birthday in 1934. By 1939, he had risen to the position of senior announcer and his was the voice that announced to the world Britain's declaration of war on Germany in September of that year. Andrew William Dougall (22 May 1884 – 11 November 1941) was an Australian rules footballer who played for the Carlton Football Club in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Change of name He enlisted in the first AIF under the name of James Davidson (the reason for this decision has never been explained); and, it seems, he went under that name for the rest of his life. Rose Elinor Dougall (born 13 March 1986) is an English singer, songwriter and musician. She was a member of The Pipettes and has performed with Mark Ronson. She also performs and records as a solo artist. Career Dougall joined The Pipettes in 2003 after being introduced to the initial line-up by Monster Bobby at The Basketmakers pub in Brighton. With The Pipettes, Dougall took lead vocals on the singles "Judy" and "Dirty Mind". During her time with The Pipettes, she also provided guest vocals for The Young Playthings, Brakes and Dr Colossus. Billy Dougall
William Dougall (25 October 1895 – 15 November 1966) was a Scottish association football player and manager. He played as a left half. He spent the majority of his playing career with Falkirk and Burnley. A qualified physiotherapist, Dougall later coached at a number of clubs and was appointed manager of Burnley in 1957. However, he held the position for only seven months before he was forced to retire through ill health. Playing career Dougall was born in Denny, Stirlingshire in 1895. In his teens he worked as a miner and was signed by local Junior club Denny Hibernian. He played for the club until 1921 when he transferred to senior club Falkirk. He spent five years with Falkirk, being selected for the Scottish Football League XI in 1923, before his performances earned him a £3,000 transfer to Football League First Division side Burnley. Cornelius Dougall (7 November 1921 – 1 December 2009) was a Scottish professional footballer who played as an inside right or wing half. He played more than 350 games in the Football League for Birmingham City and Plymouth Argyle, and won one cap for Scotland in 1946. Life and career Dougall was born in Falkirk, Scotland. He began his football career as a schoolboy inside right at Burnley in 1936, and turned professional in 1940. After the Second World War he moved to Birmingham City for a fee of £2,750.
