Doug Tewell
Douglas Fred Tewell (born August 27, 1949) is an American professional golfer who has won several tournaments at both the PGA Tour and Champions Tour level, including two senior major championships. Tewell was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and reared in Stillwater, Oklahoma. He got started in the game by working as a caddie for his father. He attended Oklahoma State University in his hometown on a basketball scholarship his freshman year, but later switched to golf. Tewell graduated and turned pro in 1971. Tewell joined the PGA Tour in 1975; his best year came in 1980 when he won the Sea Pines Heritage and IVB-Golf Classic. He won two more times on the Tour in the mid-1980s. His best finishes in a major were T-9 at the 1983 PGA Championship and T-10 at the 1986 PGA Championship. PGA National Resort is a resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. It has five championship 18-hole golf courses, the most famous of which is "The Champion", which has hosted the 1983 Ryder Cup, the 1987 PGA Championship, the Senior PGA Championship for 19 consecutive years from 1982 to 2000, and the PGA Tour's Honda Classic since 2007. It has been home to the Professional Golfers' Association of America since the resort's establishment, but the PGA has announced that it will move to new headquarters in Texas in summer 2022. Phil Blackmar
} Philip Arnold Blackmar (born September 22, 1957) is an American professional golfer. He played on the PGA Tour from 1985 to 2000 and on the Champions Tour from 2007 to 2012. He was the tallest player on the PGA Tour during his time on tour, standing 6'7". Career Blackmar was born in San Diego, California. He played college golf at the University of Texas where he was a three-time All-Southwest Conference selection. He graduated in 1979 with a degree in finance and turned pro in 1980. Blackmar played on mini-tours for a few years before earning his 1985 PGA Tour card by finishing second at the 1984 qualifying school. Clarence Rose
Clarence Rose (born December 8, 1957) is an American professional golfer who has played on the PGA Tour, Nationwide Tour, and Champions Tour. Rose was born in Goldsboro, North Carolina, where he makes his home today. He attended Clemson University and was a member of the golf team, an All-American in 1980. He turned pro and joined the PGA Tour in 1981. Rose has more than two dozen top-10 finishes including one win and six runners-up in official PGA Tour events. He captured his first victory at the 1996 Sprint International in his 16th year on the Tour. His best finish in a major championship was T40 at the 1988 U.S. Open. Rose took a hiatus from competitive golf in 1990 after learning his 18-month-old son, Clark, had testicular cancer. He played in just 18 events from 1992–1995. The Genesis Invitational is a professional golf tournament on the PGA Tour in southern California, first played in 1926 as the Los Angeles Open. Other previous names include Genesis Open, Northern Trust Open and Nissan Open. Jerry Pate
Jerome Kendrick Pate (born September 16, 1953) is an American professional golfer on the PGA Tour Champions, formerly on the PGA Tour. As a 22-year-old rookie, he won the U.S. Open in 1976. Early years Born in Macon, Georgia, Pate grew up in the panhandle of Florida at Pensacola. He attended the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa and played on its Crimson Tide golf team. He had a distinguished amateur career with a win at the U.S. Amateur in and was a member of victorious U.S. teams at the Eisenhower Trophy competition later that year and for the Walker Cup in May 1975 at St Andrews in Scotland. Patrick Alfred Bates (born July 26, 1969) is an American professional golfer who has played on the PGA Tour and who served as the head men's golf coach at the University of Central Oklahoma from 2011-2016. Bates was born in St. Louis, Missouri.
