Douglas Edwards Evans (born May 13, 1970) is a former American football cornerback in the National Football League. He was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the sixth round (141st overall) of the 1993 NFL Draft out of Louisiana Tech. He won Super Bowl XXXI with the 1996 Green Bay Packers against the New England Patriots. A cornerback (CB) is a member of the defensive backfield or secondary in gridiron football. Cornerbacks cover receivers most of the time, but also blitz and defend against such offensive running plays as sweeps and reverses. Super Bowl XXXI was an American football game between the American Football Conference (AFC) champion New England Patriots and the National Football Conference (NFC) champion Green Bay Packers to decide the National Football League (NFL) champion for the 1996 season.
