Doubrava (Karviná District)
( pl, , german: Dombrau) is a municipality and village in Karviná District in the Moravian-Silesian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 1,200 inhabitants. Etymology The name comes from the Slavic word ''dúbrava'', which means "oak forest". Between 1920 and 1924, the municipality was named ''Dombrová''. Geography Doubrava is located in the Ostrava Basin lowland in the historical region of Cieszyn Silesia. There are several ponds in the municipality. History It is not clear when the village was founded, according to historians, it could have been around 1150. The first written mention of Doubrava is in a document of Pope Gregory IX issued in 1229 among villages belonging to Benedictine abbey in Tyniec, as ''Dubrowa''. In 1268 it was bestowed by Władysław Opolski to the newly established Orlová monastery. Doubrava (Aš)
Doubrava (German language, German: ''Grün'') is a village in Karlovy Vary Region, Czech Republic. It is one of the nine districts of the town of Aš. In 2001 the village had a population of 94. In the village there are a mineral spring, a bus stop, a market and a restaurant. Geography Doubrava lies 6 kilometres northeast from Aš, about 507 meters above sea level. It is surrounded by forests. Through Doubrava flows Bílý Halštrov river. History Doubrava is first mentioned in 1392, as a property of Conrad von Neuberg. At the turn of the 14th and 15th century Doubrava was bought by the Zedtwitz. Mineral springs in Doubrava has very similar composition like those in neighboring German town of Bad Elster. Hořice (, also known as Hořice v Podkrkonoší; german: Horschitz) is a town in Jičín District in the Hradec Králové Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 8,600 inhabitants. Nýřany
Nýřany (; german: Nürschan) is a town in Plzeň-North District in the Plzeň Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 6,900 inhabitants.
