Dot Dash Records
Dot Dash Recordings is a collaboration between the two companies - Remote Control Records which provides publicity, marketing and label management while Inertia Distribution looks after distribution and sales. Dot Dash Recordings was set up by Remote Control Records in mid 2004 as a new label for Australian artists. The label works exclusively with Australian artists including Methyl Ethel, Client Liaison, Gabriella Cohen, Donny Benet and many more. Deloris
Deloris were a 4 (sometimes 5) piece indie rock band from Melbourne, Australia, who were active from 1999 until 2008. History Deloris was formed in Frankston, Victoria, by Marcus Teague (singer/songwriter), Simon Heelis (guitar), Luke Turley (drums) and Stuart Charles (Bass (guitar), bass) in the 1990s. The band recorded a four-song demo tape in 1994 at Sandringham Studios, and another four songs at Backbeach Studios in Rye in 1996. On the back of these demos the band began playing around Melbourne and garnering local reviews. The trio would return to Back Beach in 1998 to record enough songs to form an album and the resulting LP 'Fraulein' was released on Perth label Halflight Records. In 1999 the band flew to Perth and spent two weeks recording and mixing their second album, ''The Pointless Gift'', which was released by Sydney label Quietly Suburban Records in December 2000 and received a glowing critical response, with Melbourne's ''The Age'' newspaper giving it four stars, say ... Ryan Downey is a singer/songwriter from Melbourne, Australia. Early life Ryan Downey grew up in rural Victoria, Australia. At age of 10 he was diagnosed with juvenile arthritis. In 2016, Downey explains "I was a young boy with an old man's body. There were days when I couldn't walk and during the worst of it my hair turned grey for a while. Being a forced bystander through those early years really bound me to my love of art, music and cinema." Young and Restless (sometimes abbreviated to Y + R or Y & R) were a band from Canberra, Australia. Biography Young and Restless were formed in 2005, and won the 2006 Triple J Unearthed competition to play at the Homebake Festival 2006. The band formed in early 2005 when Karina Utomo and Ash Pegram (who were old high school buddies) combined with Ross Paxman, Mark Falkland and Nugie Utomo. Early names of the band were '...Wolves' and then 'The I Hate Yous' before settling on the current name. They started playing shows in Canberra before slowly playing interstate shows. Cloud Control was an Australian alternative rock band, originating from the Blue Mountains near Sydney, Australia. The band was signed to the Australian record label Ivy League Records, on which they released their first album, '' Bliss Release''. Fire! Santa Rosa, Fire! was an indie rock group from Adelaide, South Australia. They describe their musical style as "monolithic tech-pop". They released the independent EPs ''You Seize the City, I'll Seize the Sky'' (2006) and ''Boy, Hush Yr Mouth, Grrl Bare Yr Teeth'' (2007), and full-length studio album '' Sea Priest'' (2010). In 2014, they announced that they had disbanded. Snowman was a band originally from Perth, Western Australia. They formed in 2002, relocated to London in 2008, and disbanded in 2011. History 2002-2005: Formation and ''Zombies on the Airwaves of Paris'' Snowman began playing together in various incarnations and under different names during their high school years. Joe McKee and Andy Citawarman met when they were fourteen years old; they began writing music together almost immediately. Olga Hermanniusson soon joined on Bass guitar and saxophone.
