''Dost'' () is a 2004 Indian Telugu language film produced by N. Radhakrishna Reddy under banner N.R.K. Cinemas, directed by Muppalaneni Siva. Siva Balaji, Neha and newcomers Karthik and Preethi Mehra starred with support from K. Viswanath, Suhasini, Brahmanandam, M. S. Narayana, Tanikella Bharani, Venu Madhav, Ali, Hema, Shankar Melkote, Raghu Babu, Mohana, Srikar Babu and Karthik. The music was composed by Koti. The film was a remake of Malayalam film '' Nammal''. Plot Snehalatha (Suhasini) takes charge as the Principal in a college where Shyam (Karthik) and Sivan (Siva Balaji) are the heroes. Shyam and Sivan are fun-filled, naughty characters. Meghamala (Neha Bamb) is teased and ragged by the duo, who happens to be the daughter of Principal's friend. Megha complains and Snehalatha takes action against Shyam and Shivan. Muppalaneni Shiva is an Indian film director and writer who works in Telugu cinema. He has directed movies for production houses like Suresh Productions, Super Good Films, Sravanthi Movies, Ramakrishna Cine Studios & Etharam films etc. His successful movies include Taj Mahal, Gilli Kajjalu, Priya O Priya, Ammayi Kosam, Raja, Sandade Sandadi & Sankrathi. Kallu Chidambaram
Kolluru Chidambara Rao (10 October 1945 – 19 October 2015), known professionally as Kallu Chidambaram, was an Indian actor known for his works in Telugu cinema. Chidambaram is one of the finest comedians of Telugu cinema. Chidambaram started his career as a theatre artist while working as an Assistant Engineer in Visakhapatnam Port Trust. He made his film debut in 1988 with ''Kallu'' from which acquired his stage name. He had garnered the state Nandi Special Jury Award for the film.
