Doron Langberg
Doron Langberg (born 1985) is an American painter. Langberg paints in the style of genre painting and portraiture and addresses issues of gender and sexuality by making love and desire a shared experience through the surface and subjects of his paintings. Early life and education Langberg was born and raised in Yokneam Moshava, Israel. He has been painting since he was in primary school. He notes that retrospectives by Lucien Freud and Avigdor Arikha inspired him to start making figurative work. Langberg graduated from Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in 2010 and Yale University's MFA program in 2012. Work In 2015, Langberg was included in a two-person exhibition with artist Gaby Collins-Fernandez at Danese Corey gallery in New York. Pierre Bonnard
Pierre Bonnard (; 3 October 186723 January 1947) was a French painter, illustrator and printmaker, known especially for the stylized decorative qualities of his paintings and his bold use of color. A founding member of the Post-Impressionist group of avant-garde painters Les Nabis, his early work was strongly influenced by the work of Paul Gauguin, as well as the prints of Hokusai and other Japanese artists. Bonnard was a leading figure in the transition from Impressionism to Modernism. He painted landscapes, urban scenes, portraits and intimate domestic scenes, where the backgrounds, colors and painting style usually took precedence over the subject. Devan Shimoyama
Devan Shimoyama (born 1989 in Philadelphia) is a contemporary African-American visual artist best known as a painter that uses mixed mediums in their work. Shimoyama's work is inspired by Black, queer, and male bodies from a personal perspective. The exploration of mythology and folklore also plays a key role in Shimoyama's work. Shimoyama uses his work to examine the intersections of race, class, gender, and sexuality within everyday life. TM Davy (born 1980) is a New York-based painter. Davy paints and draws in the style of social realism and portraiture, recognizable for his keen sense of light and color depicting both the human and non-human. Early life and education Davy was born and raised in New York, New York. Davy spent his early years fine tuning his technique at a summertime apprenticeship at the mural studio his father owned alongside highly trained Russian and Chinese social realist academic style painters. Louis Fratino
Louis Fratino (born 1993) is an American visual artist. Education Fratino graduated from the Maryland Institute College of Art, Baltimore, MD in 2015. Fratino was a recipient of a Fulbright Research Fellowship in Painting, Berlin, 2015–2016 and a Yale Norfolk Painting Fellowship, Norfolk, CT in 2014. Salman Toor
Salman Toor (born 1983) is a Pakistani-born American painter. His works depict the imagined lives of young men of South Asian-birth, displayed in close range in either South Asia and New York City fantasized settings. Toor lives and works in New York City. Biography Salman Toor was born in 1983 in Lahore, Pakistan. He attended Aitchison College. Toor came to the United States to attend school at Ohio Wesleyan University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2006.
