Doris Taufateau
Doris Taufateau (born 29 July 1987) is a female rugby union player for and Auckland. She was a member of the 2010 Women's Rugby World Cup winning squad. Taufateau completed a bachelor's degree in Physical Education in 2013. Auckland Rugby Union Team
Auckland are a New Zealand professional rugby union team based in Auckland, New Zealand. The union was originally established in 1883, with the National Provincial Championship established in 1976. They now play in the reformed National Provincial Championship competition. They play their home games at Eden Park in Auckland. The team is affiliated with the Blues Super Rugby franchise. Rugby Union
Rugby union, commonly known simply as rugby, is a close-contact team sport that originated at Rugby School in the first half of the 19th century. One of the two codes of rugby football, it is based on running with the ball in hand. Rugby World Cup (women)
The Rugby World Cup is the women's rugby union world championship which is organised by World Rugby. The first Rugby World Cup for women was held in 1991, but it was not until the 1998 tournament that the tournament received official backing from the International Rugby Board (IRB, now World Rugby); by 2009, the IRB had retroactively recognized the 1991 and 1994 tournaments and their champions. The tournament is currently held every four years, and was most recently held in New Zealand in 2021, postponed to 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Three countries have won the women's Rugby World Cup since its establishment, with New Zealand having won the tournament a record six times. 2010 Women's Rugby World Cup
The 2010 Women's Rugby World Cup was the sixth edition of the Women's Rugby World Cup and was held in England. The International Rugby Board Executive Committee selected the host union following a recommendation from the Rugby World Cup Limited board after considering bids from the Rugby Football Union and the German Rugby Union – it had been England's third successive bid after being rejected in 2002 and 2006. The tournament was again being organised by the International Rugby Board (IRB) as opposed to the host union, and included five matches for all teams played on 20, 24, 28 August and 1 and 5 September. In May 2009 it was announced that the semi final, 3rd place play off and final would take place at The Stoop and not Twickenham as had previously been suggested. Tamaki College
Tamaki College is co-educational Secondary School in Glen Innes, Auckland, New Zealand. Originally constructed on two sites, it was planned to create a separate boys and girls colleges when the roll reached 1400. The separate sites in Glen Innes saw the establishment of the 'girls' school in 1955 with the last site in 1957. This did not occur and the school remained on two sites until 1987. In 2003 the 'girls' school was closed after a fire burned much of the building. Tamaki College serves the communities of Glen Innes and Panmure; it celebrated its Diamond Jubilee in 2017. Since 1998 there has been an extensive redevelopment within the school including the recreation centre, technological block and library.
