Gaston Bussière (April 24, 1862 in Cuisery – October 29, 1928 or 1929 in Saulieu) was a French Symbolist painter and illustrator. Biography Bussière studied at l'Académie des Beaux-Arts in Lyon before entering the école des beaux-arts de Paris where he studied under Alexandre Cabanel and Pierre Puvis de Chavannes. In 1884, he won the Marie Bashkirtseff prize. He was close to Gustave Moreau. He found inspiration in the theatre works of Berlioz (''La Damnation de Faust'') as well as William Shakespeare and Richard Wagner. He became in demand as an illustrator, creating works for major authors. He illustrated Honoré de Balzac's ''Splendeurs et misères des courtisanes'' published in 1897, ''Émaux et camées'', written by Théophile Gautier, as well as Oscar Wilde's '' Salomé''. Doris Margaret Anderson (July 5, 1922 – October 16, 2022) was a Canadian nutritionist and politician who served as a senator. Anderson was born at St. Peters Bay, Prince Edward Island, the daughter of William W. and Florence () Anderson. She attended Prince of Wales College, Acadia University and Cornell University where she earned bachelor's and masters's degrees and was a nutritionist and educator by career. Her thesis in 1951 was entitled ''A History of Celiac Disease with Special Emphasis on Theories of Etiology and Treatment''. From 1948 to 1966, she was employed at Prince of Wales College in the home economics department, first as a lecturer, eventually rising to become an associate professor and department chair. Doris Anderson (November 14, 1897 – June 1971) was a prolific American screenwriter active during 1920s through the 1950s. Biography Doris was born in Chico, California, to William Smith and Mabel Dorn; she was an only child. Her parents divorced when she was young, and she was raised by her mother. Anderson graduated from the University of Southern California, and she worked as a journalist and a publicity agent before joining Paramount as a scenarist. She wrote silent films before moving into talkies. In 1930, she married British screenwriter Anthony Jowitt, who worked at MGM; they had a daughter, author and dance critic Deborah Jowitt.
