Gabriella Dorio
Gabriella Dorio (born 27 June 1957 in Veggiano, Veneto) is an Italian former athlete and Olympic gold winner. She won two medals, at senior level, at the International athletics competitions. Biography She first participated in the 1976 Summer Olympics, placing sixth in the 1500 metres race then ran the same event and placed fifth in Summer Olympics 4 years later. She won the gold medal at the 1982 European Indoor Championships, the bronze medal at the 1982 European Championships, and finally the gold medal at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, beating the Romanians Doina Melinte (silver) and Maricica Puică (bronze). She has 65 caps in national team from 1973 to 1991. Julian Dorio
Julian Dorio (born November 26, 1981) is an American drummer. He is a founding member of the rock band The Whigs. Biography Julian started drumming at the age of 6, as an original member of the Flying Dorios. The band included his father and his older brother, Michael Dorio of Trances Arc. A high school graduate of The Westminster Schools in Atlanta and a college graduate of the University of Georgia, Dorio currently resides in Nashville, Tennessee. The Whigs was signed to their current record label, Dave Matthews' ATO, in 2006. He has been featured in ''Drum Magazine'' and ''Modern Drummer''. The Whigs were also invited to perform on the '' Late Show with David Letterman'' on January 28, 2008, and '' Late Night with Conan O'Brien'' on February 20, 2008. Career Julian is the drummer for, and a founding member of, The Whigs, a garage rock band out of Athens, Georgia. Dorio, Messenia
Dorio ( el, Δώριο) is a village and a former municipality in Messenia, Peloponnese, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Oichalia, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 102.832 km2. The population of the municipal unit is 2,983, and of the village alone 915 (2011 census). Dorio is above sea level. The small settlement of Ano Dorio is nearby. Dorio has been mentioned in Homer's ''Iliad'', and by Strabo and Pausanias.
