Dor Peretz
Dor Peretz ( he, דור פרץ; born ) is an Israeli professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Israeli Premier League club Maccabi Tel Aviv and the Israel national team. Early life Peretz was born and raised in Hod HaSharon, Israel, to an Israeli family of both Sephardi Jewish and Mizrahi Jewish descent. His older brother is former Israeli international footballer Reef Peretz. Peretz is observant ( Masorti Jewish). He also holds a Portuguese passport, on account of his Sephardi Jewish ancestors, which eases the move to certain European football leagues. Club career Maccabi Tel Aviv On 12 August 2014, Peretz made his senior debut in Maccabi Tel Aviv during a Toto Cup match against Maccabi Netanya. Reef Peretz ( he, ריף פרץ; born February 25, 1991) is an Israeli footballer who plays as a center back for Israeli football club Shimshon Tel Aviv. His brother is Dor Peretz, who is also a footballer. Early life Peretz was born in Hod HaSharon, Israel, to a Jewish family. Peretz attended Hadarim High School in Hod HaSharon. Club career Reef Peretz first joined the senior team in the 2009/10 season and made his debut on August 15, 2009 and, after two appearances in the Toto Cup games, he opened the first League round against Sachnin and played for 45 minutes. That season, Peretz was still part of the Maccabi Tel Aviv junior squad, and he again played in a Toto Cup game. Sammy Ofer Stadium ( he, אצטדיון סמי עופר), also known as Haifa Municipal Stadium (), is a 30,858 seats multi-purpose stadium in Haifa, Israel. Construction began in late 2009 and was completed in 2014. The stadium was developed and built by the Haifa Economic Corporation, managed by Adv. Gal Peleg. The 2018–19 UEFA Nations League C was the third division of the 2018–19 edition of the UEFA Nations League, the inaugural season of the international football competition involving the men's national teams of the 55 member associations of UEFA. Israel "Eli" Guttman (or Gutman, he, אלי גוטמן; born 24 February 1958) is an Israeli former football player and manager who most recently managed Maccabi Haifa, before officially announcing his retirement from the football world, stating health issues as the main reason. Career Guttman was born in Israel, to a family of Ashkenazi Jewish descent. He started playing football as a teenager in the youth ranks of Hapoel Haifa but never managed to play for the senior team. The Liechtenstein national under-21 football team represents the under-21s of Liechtenstein in the UEFA U-21 Championship, and is controlled by the Liechtenstein Football Association, the governing body of football in Liechtenstein. Hapoel ( he, הפועל, lit. ''the worker'') is an Israeli Jewish sports association established in 1926 by the Histadrut Labor Federation. History During the British Mandate of Palestine period Hapoel had a bitter rivalry with Maccabi and organized its own competitions, with the exception of football, the only sport in which all the organizations played each other.
