The Eliot Spitzer political surveillance controversy (also known as Troopergate) broke out on July 23, 2007 when New York State Attorney General Andrew Cuomo's office admonished Governor of New York Eliot Spitzer's administration for ordering the State Police to create special records of Senate majority leader Joseph Bruno's whereabouts when he traveled with police escorts in New York City. Heiner Dopp
Heiner Dopp (born 27 June 1956 in Bad Dürkheim, Rheinland-Pfalz) is a former field hockey player from West Germany, who competed at three Summer Olympics for his native country. He won the silver medal with his team, in 1984 (Los Angeles) and in 1988 (Seoul). Dopp made his Olympic debut in 1976 (Montreal). He played 286 international matches for the national team, and won the German club title eight times with TG Frankenthal. After his hockey career he got engaged in local politics. Homer Dopp
Homer Dopp (November 25, 1875 – April 18, 1949) was an American Republican politician from Wisconsin. Homer R. Dopp was born in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1902, married the same year Gertrude Ross in Beloit, a native of that city and a graduate of Beloit College, and taught high school for two years. He was a farmer. He was elected to Wisconsin State Assembly in 1922 receiving 3,267 votes to 1,020 for the independent Democratic candidate Judson Hall. He served in Wisconsin State Assembly in 1923 representing Waukesha County, Wisconsin.Members of the Wisconsin Legislature 1848-1999

Colonel Lincoln Peter Munro Jopp MC (born 1968) is a British Conservative Party politician who has been the Member of Parliament for Spelthorne since 2024. Before entering the Commons, Jopp was a businessman and former colonel in the British Army. He is a veteran of the Sierra Leone Civil War. Dopp is an unincorporated community in the town of Belmont in Portage County, Wisconsin, United States. Geography Dopp is located in central Wisconsin approximately nine miles east of Almond, or four miles north of Wild Rose. Dopp rests on the intersection of Portage County Road AA, and Wisconsin State Highway 22. Wisconsin State Highway 22 in Portage County is a two mile stretch of road between Waupaca County and Waushara County. (Lat: 44° 15' 08.1", Lon: -89° 14' 40.9") Local information Dopp was named for the family which had settled in the region. At one time, Dopp featured two schools, a post office, church, and cemetery.
