Doorian
''Doorain'' is a Pakistani film directed by Hassan Askari, based on a story by Bashir Niaz, and produced by S. A. Gul under banner ''Evernew Pictures''. It stars Shabnam, Mohammed Ali and Faisal Rehman with Agha Talish in the supporting cast along with others. The music was composed by Robin Ghosh. It was released on 6 April 1984. A golden jubilee hit film of the year, it received 7 Nigar Awards including "best film". ''Doorian'' was also remade in Bollywood as ''Aandhiyan'' (1990). Plot Due to the relation of a married couple where the influential and rich husband mistreats his wife, the latter gets separated from him. The plot then revolves around the struggle of the wife to attain the custody of her son, and to lead her life as a single parent. Faisal Rehman
Faisal Rehman commonly known as Faisal is a Pakistani film and television actor, writer and director. He has worked in 36 films and many television shows. Biography Faisal Rehman's ancestors hail from Afghanistan with roots in the Mohammadzai clan of Kabul belonging to Barakzai branch of the Durrani confederacy. His ancestors moved to India in 1905 during British Raj. He is a nephew of noted Bollywood actor, Rehman, and his brother Fasih Ur Rehman is a classical dancer, their father is cinematographer Massud-ur-Rehman. Faisal did his secondary schooling at St. Anthony High School Lahore. He was only a 14-year-old boy when he landed his first role in Nazar-ul-Islam's film Nahi Abhi Nahi, also starring famous film actress Shabnam. Bashir Niaz (July 9, 1936 - August 5, 2002) was a Pakistani film story, dialogue, and screenwriter. He is known for writing scripts/dialogues for blockbuster movies like " Diya aur tofaan" (1969),"Aina" (1977), and "Bandish" (1980). He won 15 Nigar Awards as a dialogue/scriptwriter. Agha Talish
Agha Ali Abbas Qizilbash (also known as Agha Talish, ur, ) (13 November 1923 – 19 February 1998) was a Pakistani actor who made his debut in 1947 and was mostly known and recognized in Pakistan for playing character actor or villain roles. Talish was honoured by a Pride of Performance award, by the Government of Pakistan in 1989. Life and career Talish was born in Ludhiana, British India in 1923. Afzaal Ahmad
Afzaal Ahmad ( died 2 December 2022) was a Pakistani actor. He came into limelight with his roles in the following movies: International Gorillay, Aakhri Muqabala and London. Life and career Afzaal Ahmad had over four decades of an acting career. He started in the 1970s by featuring in Dhiyan Namanian. Shabnam
Jharna Basak (born 17 August 1946), known by her stage name Shabnam, is a Bangladeshi–Pakistani stage and film actress. Actor Waheed Murad introduced her to the Pakistani film industry by offering her a lead role in his film ''Samundar'' in 1968. Shabnam remained active in Lollywood in the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s. She has been nominated for Nigar awards several times, winning it 13 times (the most for an actress). She has appeared in over 150 films films. Mumtaz Askari Madhvani (born 31 July 1947) is an Indian actress. Primarily known for her work in Hindi films, she is the recipient of a Filmfare Award and the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award for her contributions to Hindi cinema.
