Roger Hugh Charles Donlon (born January 30, 1934) is a former United States Army officer. He is the first person to receive the Medal of Honor in the Vietnam War, as well as the first member of the United States Army Special Forces to be so honored. Early life and education Donlon was born in Saugerties, New York, the eighth child of ten. He attended the New York State College of Forestry at Syracuse University for a year. He joined the United States Air Force in 1953 and was admitted to West Point in 1955, but resigned for personal reasons. He re-enlisted, this time in the United States Army, in 1958, went to Officer Candidate School, and served as a general's aide. In August 1963 he joined the Special Forces. He earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 1967. Denise Anne Donlon, (born 22 February 1956) is a Canadian business executive, television producer, author, public speaker, host, and member of the Order of Canada. Born in Toronto, Ontario, she joined MuchMusic in 1985 as a host and producer of ''The NewMusic''. In 1992, she became the director of music programming, and was named vice-president and general manager in 1997 where she was responsible for programming direction and successfully launched MuchMoreMusic in 1998. From 2000 to 2004, she was the president of Sony Music Canada where she led the company and a team of over 300 employees. On 17 September 2008, Donlon was named executive director of CBC Radio's English-language services. She left the CBC in August 2011 and was succeeded by her 2nd in command, Chris Boyce. William Joseph Donlon (born February 10, 1977) is an American college basketball coach, currently an associate head coach at Clemson University. Playing career Donlon played four years of basketball at UNC Wilmington under Jerry Wainwright, scoring 901 career points and handing out 457 assists. After graduation, Donlon played professionally in France, Germany, and Ireland. Coaching career Donlon started his coaching career with American and St. Peters as an assistant coach before returning to his alma mater to be an assistant coach under Brad Brownell for four seasons. He followed Brownell when he accepted the position at Wright State. When Brownell departed for the head coaching position at Clemson, Donlon was elevated to the head coach of the Raiders. Marguerite Donlon (born 31 May 1966) is an Irish dancer, choreographer and ballet director. Career Marguerite Donlon was born in County Longford, Republic of Ireland. After a childhood of traditional Irish dance, Marguerite began her ballet studies with Anica Louw and Dorothy Stevens at the late age of 16. She became a soloist and choreographer with the dance company of the Deutsche Oper Berlin in 1990; before that she was a member of the English National Ballet under Peter Schaufuss.
